tues. night Dethklok plays the coffee song in Norway? killing 100's when their drop-shipped stage misses the landing zone and crushes their fans , their chef is horribly mangled in a freak helicopter accident and our heroes are thus forced to go shopping in order to provide their own sustenence , hilarity ensues when our heroes find themselves unable to prepare their meals due to unfamiliarity with cooking techniques and the unfortunate act of having left their groceries at the supermarket.Tune in wed. night for the latest thrilling adventures of Dethklok in METALOCALYPSE!!!

Wed. night Nathan deletes 7 albums worth of master tapes because they're not heavy enough , worldwide economy plunged into depression on hearing the news. Word is leaked Dethklok will record underwater and TPTB recruit an informant/producer to spy on them. Memorable song; Mermaider, nice powerchord progression but lyrics largely indecypherable. Leaked nuke stuff from submarine creates monster seahorse that kills producer as he leaves.

Thurs. night Murderface plays the bass with his dick , decent solo but a prince from Denmark tries to touch the gifted wang so Murderface has to headbut him.The boys find out Murderface has a birthday coming so they hire Roxxo, the roknrol cocaine clown to perform at the party.2 strong personalities are thrown into conflict when Murderface is unable to appreciate Roxxo's ballon-guitar making abilities and Murderface orders his droogies to stomp Roxxo. A combination of deth-metal and mercury laden cake frosting turns the party from one of mutual love and celebration into a Fellini/Del torro/Carpenter horror-fest. We never do get to find out who's face actually melted and who's didn't.Dethklok gets Murderface an empty box for his birthday as a gag but then give him his real present , the Lincoln that Kennedy was shot in.

It's funny, I can see the "cultural phenomenon" that is Dethklock being expanded into a 1/2 hour series, a la the Simpsons.

I had never seen it before because I don't get Adult Swim. Imagine if the creators got a bigger budget. Oh man, I would love to see a really well produced 1/2 hour version of this cartoon.

Of course, it would probably get watered down and become irrelevant.

The first clip I watched I got the same feeling as when I first saw Spinal Tap. Just complete giggle fest. I have not laughed that hard in a while. I guess only an aging, jaded metalhead would find a lot of this show funny, but there are a lot of inside jokes in the cartoon.

I would love a half hour show but I'm getting the feeling the well's drying up already , I haven't seen this weeks shows before but I know they're from the first season so I'm thinking writer's strike or something means they haven't produced any new ones for this season. They would have to totally castrate this show to put it on prime-time, they curse all the time and a lot of the cartoon blood wouldn't make it past the sensors. I don't see it ever having mainstream appeal , too bloody and vulgar for the masses. My kids love it though.

Tonight our heroes adopt a young pig-child for tax purposes, they play a benefit for charity w/ London philharmonic, pig-boy activates death-mode lasers during concert cutting the orchestra into chunks. The boys decide to drop pig-child off on a remote island to let him grow free and natural. Unfortunately island is inhabited by death kitties brought there by Dethklok, pig-boy is eaten by kittens.

Last night Swissgar decides to enter the endorsement arena with a pay-per-view guitar lesson gig, unfortunately he eats some of Nathans BBQ sauce before the show, BBQ sauce contains cilantro, Swissgar is allergic to Cilantro. Swissgar non-the-less goes on with the show, horribly bloated and swelled from his allergy, his new style of non-virtuosity catches on and revolutionizes guitar playing the world over.

Mon. night Tokey and Dr. Roxxo go joyriding and arrive back at Dethklok castle with everyone still asleep, Dr. Roxxo awakens Murderface with inappropriate touching, Murderface awakens and starts to scream as he realizes he's being violated, while he screams Dr. Roxxo leans in close and whispers tonights first memorable line into his ear, " I do cocaine." The Dethklok thugs tie Dr. Roxxo up while Tokey pleads with them not to hurt his friend, to no avail. After a few smacks the thugs are supposed to return Dr. Roxxo home but on the way out, Dethkloks manager utters tonights second memorable line to the escorting thugs, "put the boots to him, medium style." Dr. Roxxo gets stomped. (Rest condensed as it's late), Roxxo recruited by TPTB to spy on Dethklok, Murderface learns to go commando or "freeball", Roxxo returns to castle and gets caught spying and stealing documents.

BTW just heard "Into the Water". Actually a really awesome fuckin' tune. Holy shit, this guy should be a guitarist in Slayer or Metallica.

Oddly enough, this song, and the lyrics are better than most of what the death metal scene is doing or has done.

I actually really like these lyrics, in a Cthulu mythos kind of way. What I might describe as environmental fatalism. A big theme in recent death/black metal I would say.
