I would like you to watch these few minutes and leave your thought on his comment about education and the next generation.

smileyhouston,
1. Since it's your job to advertise this media organization, even
opening a thread "asking for input" is a conflict of interest.
Practically speaking, you're not inspiring people to garden, you're
"news posts" are not really all that relevant. CNN does not post
their news articles here, why are you? You're not a regular poster
who found a relevant news article, you are a media company
representative. This is both a conflict of interest and questionable
considering this sites code of conduct. Unless Aaron ok'd it,
I'm wondering why you're posing your media stuff here.

2. Post a link to a video if you're posting one. You screw it up every
time, try adding a link to your posts.

Regarding an article on education trends? I think the guy sounds
like he doesn't know what he's talking about. Interview some
professors of sociology or at least someone into demographics.
Interviewing oil companies regarding education doesn't make much
sense unless it's specifically regarding employment trends in the
oil and gas industries.

Because I plan to evaluate your input. Wanting to read what you think.
Along on what they should really be focusing on and why. Now, what I didn't tell you is that Mr. Pledger is planning to spear head some programs that solely focuses on the educational aspect of the industry.
My job is to produce programs, I'm doing this on my own to get different perspectives.
What I would like to read is your thoughts on what you think industries should do to educate the public. How they should educate the public. What they should educate the public on.
And I could of posted a link,
We are having World Energy introduce into colleges at Oklahoma, LSU, Lamar University, UT and Ohio State.
Studying the aging workforce and the lack of geologist, scientist and engineers coming into the energy business.
We are not a news media, nor a blog forum, simply a publication that is building a TV network that I'm hoping will get educated people like yourself viewing.

[spoil][align=left]$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('smileyhouston', 'W')e are not a news media...simply a publication that is building a TV network...
You are posting in "Book/Media Reviews", you just stated that your
organization is the definition of a media company getting messages
out though television, and yet you think you are not media.
Give me a break...
$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('smileyhouston', 'B')ecause I plan to evaluate your input...
If this flys with other people why not, but honestly you could have
quoted the relevant portion of the transcript without posting
another one of your videos. Telling us to "watch the video and tell
you what we think of the end", is lazy and not that far off from what
you were doing before, telling people to just watch your video. It's
a fine line. And though yOu may not have heard this variation of the
old saying, "Semantics is the last refuge of a scoundrel."
Here's the big question, does it fly with other people that we will
be doing "Book/Media Reviews" for a company instead of about a
company? Because I think book and media reviews is a thread
about media not for media or posting for media companies.
I don't want to drive you away, but ya know...
Now honestly, if you can't post without posting your media videos, I
think the open forum would at least be more appropriate place for
you to post. The open forum is still viewed by members, but not by
the general public. So it would remove the uncertainty about if you
are posting videos as advertising and conflicts of interest.
But hey,
if other people don't mind, post all the videos ya want... $this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('smileyhouston', 'M')y job is to produce programs, I'm doing this on my own to get
different perspectives.
I'm not a big fan of doing other peoples homework for them. But if
you want to convince me that you really only want input, post the
relevant portion of a transcript or post somewhere your videos
aren't viewed as advertising.
$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('smileyhouston', 'A')long on what they should really be focusing on and why. Now,
what I didn't tell you (
but I this assumed anyway) is that
Mr. Pledger is planning to spear head some programs that solely
focuses on the educational aspect of the industry.
What I would like to read is your thoughts on what you think
industries should do to educate the public. How they should
educate the public. What they should educate the public on.
They should teach them how to properly use question marks. After
that they should teach them where the "Current Energy News"
forum is since there seems to be a thread already on what you
wanted to talk about. Of course bumping that thread or even
opening a new thread might not be a bad idea if you have news on
that front. Your discussion with Mr. Pledger might be considered
news. You could have that discussion here, but I don't it really
would match "Book/Media Reviews" or the topic very well.
Perhaps if you start a thread like: The next generation of oil engineers?
Educating for Oil Age Gap
Educating for the Age Gap
Solving the engineer supply gap
Something descriptive and relevant. The previous thread was
"U.S. Oil engineers in short supply.", perhaps you could start a thread
like "Solving the engineer supply gap"
or "How should industry solve the engineering supply gap?"
$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('smileyhouston', 's')imply a publication that is building a TV network that I'm hoping will
get educated people like yourself viewing.
the people here don't watch TV or watch very little.
There are probably more...
$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('', 'U').S. oil engineers in short supply.
$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('', 'T')heir is a huge age gap in oil workers. 80% of oil professionals are
going to reach retirement age in the next 10 years. The problem is
because of the cyclical periods of great times and really bad times.
bad many got laid off and struggled to find work. So less people
entered the industry.
