British Royalty Prince Warrior

Unread postby PenultimateManStanding » Fri 29 Feb 2008, 12:40:30

Prince Harry is putting his life on the line. He's out there shooting the taliban. I'm sure they're shooting back. Its a gutsy move. If GWB had a son, do you think he'd be on the front lines?

No, I don't.
He'd follow family tradition.

To give GWB some credit, it does take some courage to land a jet on a ship. But I don't think that if he had a son that his son would be in Iraq or Afghanistan.

I dont think he ever landed a plane on a ship he did land with a Navy Pilot on an Aircraft Carrier as a passenger for his Mission Accomplished speech.

yeah, maybe so, I don't know or care. But the Prince Harry thing seems Shakespearian to me. He may well die. I'm sure he's a prime target.

He said he wanted to go to the front line because he wanted to be like a normal person.

I don't know what he really thinks about the british public but soldiers on the front line are a little braver than normal.

And he's being pulled out because of the press coverage. He's a bullet magnet.

I, for one, hate the very idea of royalty and have never found much to appreciate in the contemporary royal family.

That being said, Harry has proved that he has something worthwhile in that heart of his and I commend him for it.

Something tells me that his mom would not have been happy with his decision. She was the one fighting about mines used in military conflicts.

HRH Prince Harry didn't set off IEDs or other kinds of mines. It is the Taliban and Al Qaida in Iraq use mines and terror bombings as one of their main terror weapons.

Of course Princess Diana would support her son's efforts to stop them from using mines.

I don't think its very likely Princess Di would've been part of demonstrations or any kind of activity that would be a condemnation of her own son. I think Princess Di would be very proud of her Harry.

I'm with you, Plantagenet. It pains me to see someone use the name Shakespeare and side with terrorists. It's a fight, Shakespeare. And they are the enemy.

Harry killed 30 Taliban according to Drudge.

Cool.

Now he needs to kill 30 more in London, where they are not in short supply.

I wonder if that's true. I hope it is. The only good Taliban is a dead Taliban.

I don't know. But British Literature is so grand. How many names are there? I have total respect for those old time British writers.

Anything besides rumours that he actually was in fighting?
Most the upper class families tend to ensure their sons never get to the frontline and this could be a media stunt to ensure no criticism would fall on the queens family.

Besides they are not the legitimate royal family.
The true King of Brittain is alive and well and lives in Australia.
God save the King!
