If you could live any time in history, when would it be?

If you could live any time in history, when would it be?

Even though our world is screwed up, I can't say I would want to live in any time but now.

There are many periods in history I would love to visit, but I'm not sure I would want to live my whole life in any period other than right now.

If you were a C-section baby, don't go back too far, you might not make it through your own birth.

Sometime near the end of the pleistocene.

I would have liked to have been one of the first people to set foot in North America...and then South America. To see all those animals! Giant ground sloths, giant condors, giant beavers, mastodon, mammoth. Fck! that would have been insane.

The whole thing was wilderness. From the arctic ocean to tierra del fuego.
The new world, the really new world. Oh man now you got me all worked up.

Hmm, you're argument is also compelling seen. I'm sure the air was a helluva lot better to breathe too. Probably just breathing the air back then was better than the best meal I've ever tasted. But then again, it would be depressing to know this is how it all turned out. :(

I would pick Japan about 200 years ago in that brief period where feudalism was unwinding but before the West corrupted them with Industrialization.

I think I'd have wanted to be my dad's age, having been too young for WWII and being able to take full advantage of the post-war boom. If you go too far in the past, the world is just riddled with war and medicine is so primitive you'd be really lucky to make it past 30 years old.

I would travel 1000 years into the future and see what I get.

In the 11th century during the last warming period.
