Man Cur I'm sorry to hear about this. If I wasn't working right up until the storm tomorrow I'd totally stop out. If your coming up short and a little labor would help, I'm not That far away I don't think. I live in Madison. I work till 130pm, so as long as I can at least try to get back before the storm all should be well.

Sorry to hear about the goat barn, cur. I'll have a stiff drink in honor of those poor fuzzy rabbits.

I am sorry to hear about the problems on the 'home acre'.

I can see where I-like-plants went wrong in his assumption of your religious affiliation! But having a blog with "Shalom" in the title plus a link to another about "Munster" sure does limit the likely candidates!

Maybe instead of Palestinian jokes we should have some more along the lines of: the fire must have been caused by the sun reflecting off the martyrs MIRROR that you left out.

Grace and peace be with you

That does make me wonder... What if the rabbits formed their own believers church, baptized each other and those state church goats started the fire to give them their due?

Dang Lutherean goats

Update:

Well, I've made the hard decision to get some help. Pride is the great obstacle to community and since I contain that obstacle in spades I will take some baby steps.

1. I borrowed some calf huts from a neighbor. They will house the goats for the next few weeks.

2. I am going to hire a local contractor to build my new goat barn for me. This was a really hard decision but I want it done right and frankly I can earn more in 24 hours of overtime than it will cost to pay someone. In an ideal world I would like to have the experience (which is priceless) but I need it done and I have plenty of other powerdown projects to occupy my time.

Thank you all for your well wishes. I will keep you updated via the goat and sheep thread over in the preparing for the future forum.
