I find it absolutely unbelievable that anyone could be sent to jail for Jail Years behind bars for this or this or this.

Jail for talking. I'm just floored and find it incomprehensible that Europeans are regularly jailed for holding minority opinions.

Maybe it's what might be expected from the people who invented the iron maiden. Six years in jail for talking. What kind of twisted people are still running around in Europe anyhow? It's interesting that the people who brought to this earth such fantastic advances in medicine and science still retain genetic remnants of a medieval mentality that allows this sick punishment to occur.

Yeah, Bas.... but at least here you have to be convicted (or in jail pending trial) of actually DOING something. Not SAYING something. Jailing people for saying politically incorrect or unpopular things is just flat out insane. Europeans may have trouble understanding this... after all, the iron maiden was approved by earlier European governments. Few complained about that either.

There are many times when I'm really glad to be living in the USA... even though a regime change would be nice.

Just a little happening in my home town. I know the kid who killed this old guy. He is a giant weighing close to 300 pounds. He could have shoved this old man down and walked away. Instead, he chose to shoot him. What would you do for these sweet hearts? They did not rob this old man because they were hungry. None of these kids missed a meal. They killed this old man for the rush. They were living out a movie.

Yes, things are a bit mixed up in the states too. Maybe another thread could explore this. I was simply pointing out that this recent wave of prosecutions was just for the past week or so. I've recently read there are hundreds and hundreds of people jailed across Europe for openly discussing That Taboo Topic among others. And it's just plain evil. Where are the protests? It's as evil as it gets. The iron maiden is smiling over this.

I also could not figure out why there's all this hatred of Jews, myself. It puzzled me for a LONG time. And why were they so much more privilaged, why did they seem to be in positions of power even while whining about poor treatment (and really getting it, in revolts against their rule) and so on? Why was it such a hot button?
