WTF is that? I'm an anarchist and it's way to complicated for me. You really need a graph with grids and curvy lines and german phrases to understand what your politics are?

I had to carry a flag in a parade that was black and red, divided diagionally, we didn't know what it was and kept joking that maybe I was carrying it upside down ....

I found out much later it was the Anarchist flag! LOL!

Nice. That is quite insightful, IMHO.

My brother-in-law is an anarchist. Once a month they had regularly scheduled meetings. What's up with that?

Anarchism isn't supposed to be about creating an undisciplined society. It's supposed to be about self-discipline. Obviously if everyone went around doing whatever they wanted, we'd all starve to death pretty quickly because everyone would be sitting on their butts all day drinking beer and nobody would be growing food. Anarchism is supposed to be about having the maturity to take care of things and do what needs to be done in the world without a boss and a cop and a landlord making you do it. I say supposed to because it's quite true that for many people anarchism is just an excuse to be a lazy sack of crap, but that's not what it's supposed to be about. There is certainly nothing in anarchism that should obligate anyone else to feed you if you want to lay around all day and be a lazy sack of crap.

There's a flyer that I really like. It says "Anarchism is doing your share of the dishes plus one."

DinoP wrote wouldn't a single flag for anarchists be an oxymoron

ain't that the truth? Real anarchists should be opposed to any type of organization so how can they be marching? Unless they were stumbling around on the wrong streets in different directions , shouting incoherent slogans in a made-up language they are betraying some of their core beliefs. Looking at it objectively , if there wasn't some form of state muscle you would have alot of weak people being victimized by the strong , it would be chaos.
Perhaps the population would be less swayed to socialism if we had fewer examples of socialism from our "Free Market Capitalists". -----fiddler dave

Once again the mideducation of society is successful.

Anarchism is not about being against organization, it's against FORCED organization. Anarchism is all about mutual cooperation for mutual benefit, freely chosen, not imposed by force (government).

Do some reading, you'll be surprised to find out how effective the miseducation program has been.

The black&red flag is anarchosyndicalist, not anarchist.
And yes, a single flag would be an oxymoron.

never confuse libertarianism with anarchism.
It is like confusing national socialism with communism.

well, I wasn't quite talking about libertarianism, but yeah I probably overstated the "anarchistic" tendency of Americans; an impression (too) many Europeans get. As for libertarianism, is there actually a substantial political philosophy behind that?(Nevermind "conservatism")
