with new low sulfur diesel new diesel engines are much less polluting than gasoline and are much more fuel effiecient. in the next year or two the major auto makers will roll out many diesels. i believe low sulfur diesel and Shells syndiesel technology are the wave of the future. but then im no psychic. lets see

I think you are correct. In Europe last summer, it was interesting to see so many diesel cars on the road, and it seems like new electronic technology for fuel injection and valve timing has made them much more responsive, quieter and less polluting.

And as the cost of food continues to increase due to increased transportation costs, the government will start having more diesel produced than regular gasoline. So, for a while, it will be less expensive.

Why keep seeing at the past? This thread is about in which form petroleum will be depleted?
