Oil Production graphs by country?

Unread postby Leo123 » Wed 14 Mar 2007, 18:45:25

Does anyone know where I can find oil production graphs by country? Preferably a graph without the depletion forecast.

Thanks.

Nice set of graphs. It would be nice if they were all using the same scale on the Y axis. After just a quick look at these graphs, it seems to me that they are saying it could be another 13 years before the crap really hits the fan. Given the ecomonic incentives that will be created, 13 years could produce a tidal wave of research, and some very innovative solutions. Rising oil prices should equate to a very significant rise in research. The only problem is that politicians tend to jump in with ways to subsidize gasoline in the U.S. every time the price spikes a little bit. This is a disincentive that fights the need to get on with the search for true alternative energy production, and prolongs the life of the gas guzzling vehicles many Americans drive.

Plus, it appears that those graphs are based on data available back in 1998. Some more recent data would seem to be in order.

Yes. Try these instead:

This set is interesting, primarily because they show a strong upward trend in production for the Middle East. Matt Simmons is predicting a rapid decline in Saudi production, very soon. It apparently didn't happen in 2005. It seems so crazy that all we're doing is taking wild stabs in the dark, and really don't have reliable information on such an important subject. The longer the information remains fuzzy, the longer it takes to mobilize for a solution/mitigation. This is extremely frustrating. We know a peak is coming with a fair degree of certainty; but the SUVs keep rolling off the assembly lines and just keep getting bigger. Duh!
