an adjective that starts with Z

Unread postby strider3700 » Wed 09 Jan 2008, 19:04:42

I have a party to go to and need an adjective that starts with Z as an entry requirement. I'm looking for something interesting to use. I was going to go with something like zoic but it's a bunch of biologists and other scientists so they probably know it.

does anyone have any suggestions?

They never specified a language so it can be wide open. Maybe something with a click in it although I don't know if bushmen have Z in their alphabet...

In Chinese (using Pinyin, the currently accepted romanization system)
"zhuang" means "strong"
"zui" means "drunk"
"zao" means "early"
"zaogao" means "f'd up"

There's more if those don't satisfy.

By all means though keep them coming. Some of those chinese ones are really good

$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('pstarr', 'z')ardoz, as in Hey! Do not zardoz that picture. I'm not through with it. (as he manipulates Miss January into Taliban freedom fighter)

oh. that's a verb. sorry

Then how about Zardozious? That article is very Zardozious. :)

Zoophillic-

From Wikipedia

Zoophilic organisms are found primarily in animals and cause marked inflammatory reactions in humans who have contact with infected cats, dogs, cattle, horses, birds, or other animals.

"I was feeling very frisky and excitable. That's when I noticed the rash on my left arm. Undoubtedly my amorous relations with the emus as of late were the primary cause. Zoophillic bugs- infecting my lovers...who in turn infected me!!"

Zephyr has always been one of my favorites.

It means the west wind, or a light warm breeze.

As in Steven Fosters "I Dream of Jeanie"

"I dream of Jeanie with the light brown hair.
Born like a zephyr on the summer air"

Of course, in that form it is a noun but can be made into an adjective: Zephyrous, zephyrean or zephyrian
"Modern Agriculture is the use of land to convert petroleum into food."
-- Albert Bartlett

Couple of random Polish adjectives:

zboczony - perverted
