They've got a damn good team on a roll. Could they be the ones to take down the New England Patriots? I sure hope they can do it. Then if the Chargers can take the Colts again, the Jags would come to San Diego for the AFC championship. Now wouldn't that be nice.

Jags aren't that great. Put 8 in the box and make Garrard beat you and stay up. It's hard to do that and still have to put up 30+ points.

The goal for the Pats is to stop the run. If they stop the run, then they expand the game and give their offense more time to put up more points, points which the Jags will have an awfully hard time doing since their receivers are some of the worst in the league (as a whole) when it comes to being a deep threat.

I just don't think that the Pats are that bad on special teams or that they will give up pick-6's or fumbles to the Jags which is the only reason they beat the Steelers.

Is Marvin Harrison expected to play? That should be a good game either way. Hoping he and Gates play. Unfortunately, our satellite went out so I'll have to "watch" it on NFL.com. Yippee

Don't know about Harrison, he's been gone a long time. Gates hurt his big toe. Maybe he'll be ready by next weekend. But the Chargers have been hot ever since they got Chris Chambers from Miami. Chambers and Jackson were quite able to fill in for Gates. The question for the Chargers is if Rivers will be on his game or not. He's damn good when he's at his best.

I'll admit it'd be pretty awesome to see Merriman doing his dance if they're stomping all over the Pats if they both make it to the Championship Game. Revenge for their previous two losses to them would be amazingly sweet for them. I can't imagine they'd like nothing more than to be the only team to beat the "greatest team in history" after those two losses.

I didn't see the Jacksonville/Steelers game. But I notice that the Jacksonville press is not crowing about their team. They don't seem to feel too confident. Maybe in the back of their minds, they think their state is going under water due to global warming.

The weather is supposed to be pretty good. It's going to be tough to stop Brady and Moss and co. Guarard has to use his feet and make the Pats aware of his running ability. 37-30 Pats is my prediction. I can't wait to see the Pats / Colts play in the afc championship game if they both make it. Harrison should be ready to go by then. If the weather holds out, Manning is the one QB that can give the Pats trouble. Gate's toe injury is going to hurt the Bolts chances. Stop LT and make Rivers beat you is the plan. I am predicting a Colts repeat. Colts 31, Packers 21

I think it's been noted by many more than just me, that when Rivers is hot he can match anyone. That's the x-factor. He's a young player. We'll see what happens.

Sports = yawn. To me, sportscenter is one of the best cures for insomnia. There's nothing lamer than watching a bunch of overpaid assholes running around throwing balls at eachother. I'd rather watch paint dry.

yeah, so you just gotta let us know about it. But I like it. I'm kind of hoping the Chargers can win the Last Superbowl.

Last ? Really ? I thought I was a doomer. I don't think it will get to that point in 1 year. I give it 3 years before total collapse.

I'm also a doomer, but it won't collapse that quickly it will take about 10-15 years, so there will be many more superbowls to keep the sheeple entertained while the world slowly crumbles around them.

So the Chargers knocked off the Colts. Not a bad job considering they were the Superbowl champs and the Chargers were heavy underdogs with several main starters out. This could be an interesting game Sunday. The initial 9 point spread was not covered in that Colts game. They not only failed to meet the spread, they lost the game. This time the bettors are not covering the new spread. The Pats are supposed to be 15 points up and nobody is buying it.

It's national sports. What do you want? You've probably got some bullshit soccer. We like our teams, here. The kids play soccer, the grown-ups play football, baseball, and basketball. Let's let bygones be bygones, and then we can enjoy our national sports, OK?

American football is the greatest sport in the world. But, I must admit that I am becoming a big soccer (football) fan too. I love watching Christian Rinaldo and Rinaldinho , they are exciting. Soccer is an amazing sport too when you start getting into it and learning all the ins and outs. I have a 10 year old daugher to blame for my addiction to soccer. She plays select and is unreal. My wife keeps track of all her goals and this is her 6th year and and has played over 300 games and has scores 500+ goals. Her record is 10 in one game.
