New comedy? now there's an oxymoron. Disorganized Crime is a flick I'm looking forward to seeing again after all these years. I woke my little daughter up way back when because I was laughing so hard while watching it. She gave me a quizzical look, then grinned and went back to her room to sleep. One of the great Fred Gwynne's last films.

I agree with ya there, there haven't been any good comdeies in at least the last 5-6 years.

Btw, for those of you who don't know who Fred Gwynne was, here was one of his most famous roles:

I thought "knocked up" was pretty funny, haven't seen walk hard but the you-tube trailer with the Elvis part cracked me up . Plants , I been gone for a while but I've noticed since I been back that you are a different Plants from the one that lived in Cali , I've even thought once or twice that it was someone else using your name. Your heart has definitely hardened and it makes me sad . I'm not happy about the influx of illegals but I can't demonize them because they are merely doing what the founders of this country did 300/500 years ago , looking for a better life . I think your anger would be more appropriately directed at the rich , WHITE business owners and captains of industry that are encouraging this invasion so they can pay lower wages and thus increase their profits . Have you read about the Lakota declaring themselves separate from the U.S. ?Remember how our ancestors took them from the plains and stuck them in the Black Hills so we could have the nice fertile soil and flat land ? Then once Gold was discovered there , we took them from the hills and scattered them to the reservations ?Who are the real invaders ? Mexicans and American indians are very close genetically and THEY ruled the America's for thousands of years , we took Southern Cali , parts of arizona , new mexico and texas by force of arms from mexico , is it justifiable because we can kill them faster than they can kill us? What's done is done and we own this land now , but that doesn't give us the right to spit on those we robbed. Have you no shame ?

Who is "we"??? Are you 200 years old? I didn't do that. Did you? Half of my family tree wasn't even in the US 100 years ago, and when they did come over, they did so LEGALLY.

So get off your high-horse.

$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('PenultimateManStanding', 'H')ow does a poor boy like you, Plants, afford a short wave radio? Rich cats like me buy $30 Radio Shack China imports. I don't plan on using it much so I'm not concerned about how long the crank mechanism works.

I got the FR200 about 3 years ago. The Eton E5 about a year ago and never regretted that. Jboogy it's interesting, the time I moved out here US economy started crashing. The news has been worse and worse ever since. It's just weird, business imploded in early 2007 we all know that, but things have really been on a downward slope since august.

No one notices changes that are very small except for the very watchful.

But those small changes add up.

I've gone from being an at least somewhat successful small business owner to someone with no work, who can't do any work that involves papers or names, no car, isolated which is good for hiding out but it does get old.

You don't notice, but things are going this way for a lot of people, the economy sucks and real estate is imploding.

If you want a nice cheerful world around you then either go work for Disneyland or get a LOT of Ecstasy and a bunker :P

We had a Day Without A Mexican here in Los Angeles a couple years ago. I was driving the ambulance that day. All of East LA and a quarter of Hollywood rallied in downtown for their rights.

The rest of LA had no Mexicans. Guess what it was like? It was fucking GREAT!!! No traffic jams, no lines, business as usual, just a lot nicer.

Anyone who was here could tell you how it was.

Well, unless they had to head East on Olympic. There were literally a million people trying to take the bus East. The bus system was totally swamped. There were packs of 50-200 people at every single bus stop for twenty miles along Olympic. Every bus was at capacity, nobody else could get on. I will hand it to them, there was no violence that I can recall on that day. They were peaceful. I guess when you outnumber the cops a hundred thousand to one you don't need to get violent.

It was just another day to me. The ERs are clogged with illegals. The freeways are clogged with illegals. The schools are clogged with illegals. The jails are crowded with illegals. The cops are busy arresting illegals, only to release them again in five seconds. The streets are clogged with illegals selling food without any health standards observed. The alleys are choked with drunk illegals passing out right there on the ground.

Would you like a tour? I will take anyone to these places and show them to you. Don't believe me? Go to Tijuana and see it in living color. Go to Los Angeles and see the same thing in living color.

I'll say it again , " I'm not happy about the influx of illegals " , did you catch it that time mos#'s ? How about "what's done is done and we own this land now " , did that penetrate your obscenely thick skull this time around mos#'s ? Yes?..... Good. Let me run a hypothetical by ya' numbskull. moswhatever lives in Fl. and his parents live in Michigan , mostnumb hasn't seen or talked to his parents in years because they want it that way . mostnumb's parents own 1000 acres in mich. , as far as mostnumb knows . The parents are old and it's been many years since they've thoroughly inspected their land and unbeknownst to them a couple has moved onto 10 acres in a corner of their property . Years pass and the trespassers have kids , they continue to homestead and then the parents die in a freak beaver attack . Then mostnumbs parents die at the teeth of the same group of deranged beavers, leaving their 1000 acres to mostnumb . Tell me moron , does mostnumb have a right to kick the trespassers kids off his property? After all , it wasn't the kids who first moved in and settled the property. By the way , and understand I mean no offense mos#'s , are you mentally handicapped ? Because I think it's great that people like you are learning how to interact with others and become productive members of society , were you able to learn how to tap on the thingy with the letters and numbers all by yourself? You were ! Aren't you just SPECIAL !

I don't think you've followed these threads closely enough. I was making a lot more when I used to to deliver pizzas until the restaurant closed in '06. I live a minimalist's life and make hardly any money at all. Perhaps you confuse richness of mind with richness of pocketbook. Now chill out. We had some fun there with Art Bell and all that. Don't go off half cocked. btw, you want to know the cool thing about living the poor, minimalist lifestyle for me? My kids don't ask anything from me except to spend some time with me every week. My 25 year old still wants to be here every week because it makes her feel grounded. Love is better than money.

I spend all that time writing nasty stuff with a nice hypothetical thrown in to try to stimulate your thought processes , and all you give me is " take your medicine"? .....I should feel angry but I don't , I'm dissappointed , not only with you but more importantly myself , I realize now that it's my fault for expecting more from you than your willing to give . Am I not worthy of even the most rudimentary of replies ? Have I not exhibited a willingness ....nay , a need to share in a mutually fulfilling give and take of ideas over the past 24 hours ? Do you find me such a lowly and despicable specimen that you cannot even find it within your heart to offer even the pretense of a debate ? You force me to offer you a dejected and regrettable , GOOD DAY SIR !!!!

Plants , I luv you too much to fight with you. PMS luvs ya' too .

Boogy this mos character is just a fucking tool, it will surprise the shit out of him, he'll never see it coming, if he and his family are eaten up by the "Reconquista".

PMS however is just a fucking asshole. Sitting in his million-dollar house out on the coast, he's one of the reasons I pray for waves ..... the kind caused by a 10-point earthquake lol.

Who loves you, baby? Listen, I'm in the jacuzzi, watching the clouds roll by and feelin' good. I like that bubble-jet action. So while you are hunkered down there among the cacti in your little shanty, straining to hear some strange voices crackling through your little short wave radio, I'll be thinking of you and sipping a martini.

How can you say that Plants ? I know you've read of his passion for teaching , I know you've seen how messed up he got about the situation with his brother , he was genuinely hurt by how screwed up their relationship had become and wanted a rapproachment . Assholes don't miss their estranged relatives , PMS cares about kids , family , humans in general , this has become obvious to me in the two +years I've read his words . I think deep down you know this. Just his taste in art and music shows me he's not an asshole .Your angry Plants , since you've been back I've seen it in alot of your posts , I don't blame you , I'd be pissed too if my world had crumbled like yours did , but I believe the old Plants is still there , right now he's being outmuscled by pissed-off Plants but good almost always triumphs in the end and I'm confident compassionate , kind Plants will emerge victorious in the end . Perhaps a pet cat would help to soothe the savage Plants?

I don't know anything about PMS's private life and I don't want to. I know he lives in San Diego and comes from wealth. I know he's a flaming asshole - "how could you afford shortwave radios blah blah" statements like that reveal it. Fucktards like that are too busy buying $4 latte's to understand that those without much may save for things, and anyway THE GODDAMN RADIOS WERE BOUGHT A WHILE AGO.

He's typical yuppie scum, I get in a convo about radio talkers and he bites the hand of friendship off.

May be be raped repeatedly by Mexican Maricons....

We've been trying to get a shot at the one around here but he's very wary. I'm waiting until I get a better pellet gun capable of a good clean kill and then I'm going to try baiting him. POW! Then the ravens can eat the carcass.

Plants , you may have been on the road when his brothers house burned and he brought his family to live with him . I don't understand if PMS is rich , why is he always looking for substitute teacher work? PMS , are you rich yuppie scum ? Wait a sec. PMS is like sixty years old , yuppyism has a cut-off age of 40 I think .
You know , I'm starting to like the new edgier Plants , it's like when you find out your fat, sleepy Grampa shot down 20 zero's in the war. Gives you a whole new perspective on Gramps .
