Even on PO.com the reaction to these events is pretty much the same as the reaction of the mainstream.

You might not go to prison, or receive lashes, but if you named a teddybear Christ, you would cause offence to many backward thinking westerners. Its just a guess btw, I don't associate with many religious believers but of the couple I know, a teddy called Christ would be offensive.

She got a light sentence probably because she was western. If she'd been sudanese I reckon she'd have got lashes.

I think she's lucky and certainly not very bright.

$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('Plantagenet', 'I')ts interesting that the Teddy Bear named Muhammed got so much media attention, while the campaign of genocide Sudan is carrying out in Darfur and the million casualties and refugees is mostly ignored. 8)

I think there's a real prohibition against naming a thing or an animal Mohammad. I think it was gutsy of that one kid in her class to say the teddy was named after him - it's OK to name a person Mohammad, and name a toy after a person.... though not an animal.

Moslems don't understand that we Western Christians are Pagan underneath the skin, the Easter Bunny and bringing a tree into the house and stuffing our guts and giving each other presents, all the neat Pagan stuff, is what we live for. We grow up considering animals our friends and buddies and family, which is very strange to Moslems and to Jews, who by the letter of their laws consider animals soulless and very apart from Humanity. It's us Western Christians who go on about how if dogs can't go to Heaven we don't want to go either lol.

It's a good thing they got her ass out of there. Whew!

Humans are nothing more than complex animals with advanced communications skills. If dogs don't have souls then I would reckon that humans don't either.

Humans are so pathetic in their need to feel special.

$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('Armageddon', 'I') think the NWO group wants these radical religions to continue to show the people how insane they are so when they implement a one world government and a one world religion, people will realize the need for it. Otherwise there will be mass rebellion when it happens. The NWO group is funding the people who are against 'Christianity' and causing it to lose it's grip on it's sheep. They are now exploiting the radical side of Islam as we speak. People will see the need to have a one world religion to save the peace.

Yes, that's precisely what the Illuminati are aiming for

A Satanic Plot for a One World Government

How's the plan shaping up?

$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('', 'T')he First World War was to be fought so as to enable the Illuminati to destroy Czarism in Russia, as vowed by the International Bankers after the Czar had torpedoed his scheme at the congress held in Vienna, and to transform Russia into a stronghold of atheistic Communism. The differences stirred up by agents of the Illuminati between the German and British Empires would be used to foment this war. After the war would be ended, Communism was to be built up and used to destroy other governments and weaken religions.

Got it

$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('', 'T')he Second World War, when and if necessary, was to be fomented by using the controversies between fascist and political Zionists. During this war, International Communism was to be built up until it equaled in strenght that of the United Christendom. When it reached that point, it was to be contained and kept in check until required for the final social cataclysm.

Got it

$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('', 'T')he Third World War is to be fomented by using the so-called controversy agents of the Illuminati would stir up between political Zionists and the leaders of the Moslem world. That war is to be directed in such a manner that all of Islam and political Zionism, Israel, will destroy each other while, at the same time, the remaining nations, once more divided on this issue, will be forced to fight themselves into a state of complete exhaustion - physically, mentally, spiritually, and economically. The stage will then be set to put the one world government into operation.

Need it

$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('', 'W')e grow up considering animals our friends and buddies and family, which is very strange to Moslems and to Jews, who by the letter of their laws consider animals soulless and very apart from Humanity.

Ya sure about that?

$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('', '(')There is not an animal in the earth, nor a flying creature flying on two wings) between the earth and sky, (but they are peoples) creations and servants (like unto you) they resemble you in eating, copulation, understanding one another, just as you understand one another: this is a sign for you.
Quran 6:38

Like humans, every creature is made by God and thus deserves our utmost respect.

Whoever is kind to the creatures of God, is kind to himself. - Hadith

Punishment is the reward for those that do injustice to animals.

A woman was punished (in the afterlife) for a cat which she tied till it died from hunger. She gave the cat nothing to eat, nor did she set it at liberty so that it might find some food. - Hadith

As far as Christians/Westerners being concerned about dogs not getting into heaven, well, that's your religion. From the above verse:

$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('', '(')Then unto their Lord they) the birds and beasts (will be gathered) with all other created beings on the Day of Judgement.

Just like humans, dogs, cats, horses, dolphins and every other creature (even the ugly ones) will be gathered before God on Judgment Day. As far as I know, animals can't commit sins. If so, they would all be allowed into heaven. If not, then they go through the same proceedings as the rest of us. Do dogs go to heaven? In Islam they do.

Further,

$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('', '"')0 (thou) soul, in (complete) rest and satisfaction! Come back thou to thy Lord - well pleased (thyself) and well pleasing unto Him Enter thou, then among My devotees! Yea enter thou My Heaven '. " 89:27-30

Yusuf Ali commented on this as the fact that the body does not enter Heaven or Hell, but the soul does. Therefore, if only souls enter, then if animals must be able to enter, as shown previously, then they must have souls since bodies cannot.

In short, animals, like humans, have souls and are a very much part of humanity and, in the least, have the ability, if not assurance, of Heaven.
I want to put out the fires of Hell, and burn down the rewards of Paradise. They block the way to God. I do not want to worship from fear of punishment or for the promise of reward, but simply for the love of God. - Rabia

A tyrant must put on the appearance of uncommon devotion to religion. Subjects are less apprehensive of illegal treatment from a ruler whom they consider God-fearing and pious. On the other hand, they do less easily move against him, wrongly believing that he has the Gods on his side.

I guess he says the devil is real because its written in a book and he wants to convince us it by quoting the book. It's like saying the Flying Spaghetti Monster is real. The proof is in the Pastafarians bible ...
