I work with kids who have Down Syndrome from time to time. It's generally true. It's pleasant to be around them because of their cheerfulness, usually.

I need to have my kids read this. My eyes are not dry right now.

Down syndrome kids are not without their problems, but there is something powerful to be learned in those paragraphs.

Made me tear up until I realized it was just more christian BS propaganda. Don't take stories like that and try to turn them into some sort "God is all great and loving stories"

If there is a god out there, he sure as hell doesn't care about the mudhole

I removed the religion from the story and saw the human part of it. I'm not a religious sort. The message for me is to attempt to understand that we can all be better and try to accept what we have and be happy instead of chasing some meaningless end to existence. Its a good message for young folks I think.

Our Creator (if he/she/it exists) just has a really dark, sadistic, twisted sense of humor. That's what I believe. We're his play things. God is basically a video game nerd with no life and we're the characters in his own Sims game that he likes to torment to make up for his lack of a lovelife.

I believe that God (if he exists) is an instigator. That's why he sent us the bible, not because it's the truth, but because it's a joke/ that causes a lot of chaos. Same with islam and judaism, he just likes to watch us retards fight over which worthless religion is right. A pretty funny joke, eh?
