Actually Mekrob, Muslims make up 0.75% of the population and that is from our Central Statistics Office.

In truth, I believe all dogmatic religion is BS.

The Pope is about as infallible as Josef Goebbels. I do however, have a problem with the politically correct path our society is taking. We have to start to develop a spine if we want to stand through the hard times ahead.

$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('Plantagenet', 'H')i Mekrob:

Whats your opinion on all this?

Do you think it was acceptable or appropriate that the schoolteacher was arrested, tried, convicted of blasphemy, sentenced to prison, and expelled because her students named a Teddy Bear after the Prophet Muhammad? 8)

Haha, no. There's a saying:

$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('', '
')"Actions are determined by intentions and for every person whatever they intended".

She clearly meant nothing by it but the best of intentions, especially since it was the children that made the call. So even if it were a crime, she should be let go. And I've stated earlier that it's not, IMO and even thought it was cute.

$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('', 'A')ctually Mekrob, Muslims make up 0.75% of the population and that is from our Central Statistics Office.

But Wikipedia says ...Oh, nevermind.

$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('', 'A')nd everyone of them is named MUHAMMAD!!!!

Ha, too good.

Just in case it hasn't been posted, the teacher is now on her way back to England:
$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('', '
')Teddy row teacher returning home

A British teacher who was jailed in Sudan for letting her class name a teddy bear Muhammad has begun her journey home after being freed.

Gillian Gibbons, 54, from Liverpool, was described as "elated" by UK Foreign Secretary David Miliband as her eight days in custody ended.

She was sentenced to 15 days jail, but pardoned by President Omar al-Bashir.

$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('Madpaddy', 'W')e are the fools. Today on a national radio chat show, people who had children in creches were ringing in because nativity plays were cancelled due to complaints from muslim parents. Of course muslim parents had the option to not let their children attend creche for the day of the play but they said this was discriminatory towards them.

Muslims make up 1% of the population in Ireland.

I wonder what would happen if I was in Saudi Arabia and complained about the call to prayer.

I had a business partner who converted to islam when he got married to a strict muslim lady from Jordan. He took his religion serious. Living in Australia, both of them always complained about a lack of cultural sensibility and understanding.

The first problem we had was when I bought a bottle of Whiskey with company money to give as a big thank you to our travel agent, who did a tremendous job. Alcohol as a present is not allowed for muslims. To calm it down I decided to pay for it out of my own pocket and give it as a personal gift from me.

The whole situation became a bit weird when my bank manager, I do business with him for over 15 years now, called me and told me that my business partner had instructed him not to pay any interest to our companies accounts. Did I mention than I spent a whole afternoon the day before to negotiate very lucrative arrangements with the bank manager?

I tried to explain to my business partner and his wife that cultural sensibility and understanding is not a one way street. It works both ways. (Obviously not for Muslims. They think they are better than the rest of us because they have the only true god.)

The whole thing escalated when my wife kicked both of them out of our house because he suggested I should discipline my stubborn lady. He said it would be shameful for a man not controlling his wife. And for a female it would be unacceptable to speak with a man without permission. When it came to the words "shameful", "permission", and "discipline" my lovely but very independent wife jumped up and kicked both them out in a not very friendly manner. I've never seen her so angry before.

Needless to say the business failed.

When in Rome...

but it needs to be done both ways. Many Muslims would regard this episode as ridiculous. The main thing is she's been released.

It gets better. My child's school library is destroying all their "Little Red Riding Hood" books.

Angry muslim parents are demanding that the title be changed to
"Little Red Riding Burqa" :?

I think the NWO group wants these radical religions to continue to show the people how insane they are so when they implement a one world government and a one world religion, people will realize the need for it. Otherwise there will be mass rebellion when it happens. The NWO group is funding the people who are against 'Christianity' and causing it to lose it's grip on it's sheep. They are now exploiting the radical side of Islam as we speak. People will see the need to have a one world religion to save the peace.

HawkMan is most pleased by this turn of events.

Seemingly random punishment with possible death... HawkMan smiles.
The problem is, of course, that not only is economics bankrupt, but it has always been nothing more than politics in disguise... economics is a form of brain damage.

jasonraymondson,

Are you not afraid of Jihad being declared on your penis.

Lighthouse,

You need to bring your whiskey to Tunisia where a $20 bottle of JD can be exchanged for a $100 leather jacket. Actually, they prefer Johnny Walker.
