Teddy Bear Named Mohammed

Unread postby PenultimateManStanding » Sat 01 Dec 2007, 01:33:32

I'm sure you've all heard the story. What it points to for us is a fear of religious war. Not their fear, our fear. We in the West have been through that and we don't want any more of it. Because we know in our hearts that it can get really nasty. So here we are, confronted with it all over again. That fucking beast just won't go away. What is our modern cultured response?

Its up to the british government.

They will protest, 'In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful' the teacher will rot for two weeks in a stinking Sudanese jail.

And in three weeks no-one will speak about it anymore.

Look, no-one gives a dime about the Saudi rape victim who will get 200 her lashes 'In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful'. Today she is already old news.

Response : put television into every house in Sudan and broadcast only Discovery, National Geographic and others like that.
Make them learn about other people, other places, so they can wake up from the stupid things they have been taught. Or bomb them, but you need to bomb them all, if some escape it's no good
http://paimei01.blogspot.com/
One day there will be so many houses, that people will be bored and will go live in tents. "Why are you living in tents ? Are there not enough homes ?" "Yes there are, but we play this Economy game". Now it's "Crisis" time !Too many houses! Yes, we are insane!

Its interesting that the Teddy Bear named Muhammed got so much media attention, while the campaign of genocide Sudan is carrying out in Darfur and the million casualties and refugees is mostly ignored. 8)

I'ld like to see the British government send in the SAS to rescue that teacher and fuxk the sensibilities of the Islamic world.

There were huge crowds that wanted to kill this teacher. Mohammed is a common name in Sudan. She just allowed the class to name the teddy bear. Is this really a hanging offense? Fundamentalists off all kinds are really dumb, and really dangerous.

Exactly madpaddy!!

That's what I've been thinking and saying for the past few days. Interesting I have yet to hear that sentiment spoken anywhere else except here.

A healthy and normal society would have immediately sent in a special operations unit or two and quickly had the poor woman rescued by now. Pulling a quick game on her guards would be a fairly simple run.

It kinda shows how morally bankrupt and gutless we in the west have become when we sit back and allow such a horror to occur.

But we'll (US and UK) all cheerily destroy a few harmless countries just for the fun of it and for no possible reason or gain.

That's what I thought. I was even thinking it was a little cute. It's a teddy bear that the kids love and cherish. It's not like they're going to be throwing it in the mud and tearing it up or something.

$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('', '
')It kinda shows how morally bankrupt and gutless we in the west have become when we sit back and allow such a horror to occur.

You're bitching about a 15 day stint in jail and calling it a horror? Sheesh. If this is a horror, how much have you complained over the war in Sudan? Or in Iraq? Or the brutalities going on in dozen of other nations? You must be complaining about those all day and night if you think this is a "painful and intense fear, dread, or dismay". This is an injustice. But it ranks about 1 million right now out of everything else going on in the world.

You think this is bad? Wait a few more years for PO and GW to take their toll and see what real horrors look like.

$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('', 'O')r bomb them, but you need to bomb them all, if some escape it's no good

Yup. It's better to murder millions of people than for a single person to go to jail for a few days. Thanks for proving that it's not only Americans that can be bloodthirsty and disproportionate in their revenges.

I think that this incident demonstrates the level of religious extremism that exists out there. While in the US, neocons oppose homosexual marriage and abortion, they are teddy bears (no pun intended) when compared to these people. I'll take our extremists any day.

I've named one of my hens Mohammed. Not because I like the name, I don't. Not because the hen needs a name. Not because the kids will like it. I did it intentionally and specifically to insult the entire Islam religion which I consider to be a backwards, primitive cult led by ignorant fools bent on selfish glory mongering, full of hatred, without regard for the rights and needs of the people they lead.

As a fanatical follower of Teddy Roosevelt I just want to let you all know that I am horribly offended that you all keep calling it a "Teddy" bear, and I intended to pressure my Congressman to have you all beheaded.

That is all.

We are the fools. Today on a national radio chat show, people who had children in creches were ringing in because nativity plays were cancelled due to complaints from muslim parents. Of course muslim parents had the option to not let their children attend creche for the day of the play but they said this was discriminatory towards them.

Muslims make up 1% of the population in Ireland.

I wonder what would happen if I was in Saudi Arabia and complained about the call to prayer.

Try about half that.

Why exactly do people on here and elsewhere, such as that preacher, feel the need to respond to hate and stupidity with hate and stupidty? It simply accomplishes nothing except showing who you truly are.

Hi Mekrob:

Whats your opinion on all this?

Do you think it was acceptable or appropriate that the schoolteacher was arrested, tried, convicted of blasphemy, sentenced to prison, and expelled because her students named a Teddy Bear after the Prophet Muhammad? 8)
