Season’s Greetings

Unread postby Pops » Fri 30 Nov 2007, 20:33:14

My Momma told me not to talk politics or religion in mixed company – I guess this as mixed a company as it gets.

I like a debate maybe more than the next guy. But sometimes this place seems silly.

All Numbers, Prophesies, Doom, Preparations, Rationalizations and such.

So much stuff but not much really real – like talk of family or a word to our fellow POers we talk to pretty regularly.

As someone mentioned to me lately: not a word of thanksgiving over the last weeks.

I’d like to say thanks to those who have inspired, spanked, educated, cussed, argued and thanked me.

Thanks to you and the best to you and your family through the winter.

Sorry, Pops. I didn't even log on to PO.com over Thanksgiving. I spent it with my real life family (the kids were both home from college).

But best wishes to you and yours and to all of our virtual family here. :)

Here's a toast to all of you ( as I sip my beer and tomato juice ), my only online commraderie, in hopes we can say so again next year this time.

May you keep well along the plateau and not fall off the edge.

Cheers to everyone here! I wish you all much happiness in the upcoming holiday season. I especially wish you good health. I've been sick this whole month (unusual for me), and I've had enough already. Take care of yourselves!

Well as long as you're thanking people for spanking you, I've got the dominatrix gear all ready, so bend over Pops! I can't think of a better way of delivering Christmas cheer, though I didn't think Peak Oil was that kind of site!

Have a great Christmas, Pops, and stay out of trouble, will you?

Thanks for the good wishes, Pops, and the same to all of you!

I'm always thankful for people who are brought along my path, whether to teach, to admonish or who just make me laugh. 8)

I don't mean any offense pops, but HAPPY THANKSGIVING & MERRY CHRISTMAS! (I've never been all that P.C.)

I THANK all of you for being a part of this, and communicating with me! THANKS!!!

I've also been thinking as of late (doomer that I Am) that maybe I need to focus more on one of my favorite songs...

"Ya gotta let Y'r soul shine...
It's better than sunshine...
It's better than moonshine...
damn sure better than rain"!

In lieu of a fruitcakes, I will be sending the doomers on my mailing list this year #10 cans of Mountainhouse Freeze Dried Rasberry Crumble and a Santa Clause cookie jar full of 12ga shotgun shells. Check your mailbox and only open your reinforced door for the UPS trucks(not black suburbans).

This may be the quote of the year! How can I get on the mailing list?

There is special room in my heart for all of you fruitcakes. I truly wish everyone the happiest of holidays (by that I mean days holy to you), now and always.

BTW Shanny, I loved your prayer, forgot to tell you. Thank you.

Funny - I logged on late Thanksgiving night intending to chime in and wish everyone a happy Thanksgiving. I found NOTHING. Of course, I looked in Open Discussion...

No wonder I missed it - it was hidden in the Americas Discussion. Who'da thunk?

Thanks Pops for starting this. I DO hope you all had a nice Thanksgiving and wish everyone a Merry Christmas!!!

Yeah, Happy Post Mas, Pops, but that's the best I can do this year. I'll make some more beef jerky for those that like it.
