Dental Fillings (since they prevent so much misery and take so little labor and materials)
Geo-stationary communications satellites (since they'll outlast pyramids)
Godels Theorem (since it disproves the universe)

If I am have told you once, I have told you a thousand times. The answer is Twinkees. How can you deny the pure and simple logic.

Its kind of amazing that you can link to it and completely misunderstand it.

This thread has become moderately silly, I was just riffing on the theme. Dezakin, if you know anybody who can distill a ballbuster like Godels theorem into a parenthetical five-word quip, please introduce them to peak oil. Such an individual could solve PO in an afternoon, then we can go back to using the internet the way it was intended (dog-shirt marketing, porn, and rabid political extremism).

Godel showed that logic is neither pure nor simple. Besides, it's not twinkees, it's chocolate chip cookies. And toilet paper, sure beats corn cobs. (btw, for a brainiac, your writing sucks. "I am have told you..."?)

Do you think that non nuclear countries will also be targeted by nukes? Will someone just lob one into Bangkok or something?

"Sir, we've got 1 nuke here with no target"
"ahhhh, fuck.... I think my ex-wife is on vacation in Bora Bora..."
Frank, I'm sorry about your social phobias. I know what it's like. But this is superbly funny. In a dark and twisted way. Perfectly appropriate for our era.

$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('', 'M')y 'geometric' Buddha buddy is better than yours...

Look, I've smoked grass too, I'm not going to pretend that I didn't. But your geometric buddha buddy is a fantasy, and everybody here knows it. Your posts are bizarre rambling nonsense. Wake up, dude.

People try to make Godel's incompleteness theorems into something they're not. All they say is that sufficiently complex theories have undecidable statements.

$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('', '')$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('PenultimateManStanding', 'I') have to disagree with you there, golem. Since nothing turned out to be a great benefit in the long run, the 17 sided polygon is at least beautiful.

Since our last conversation the symmetry of E8 geometry has been pointed out to me. And since I suggest E8 symmetry might be a representation of the patriarch Abraham...can I suggest my mandala trumps yours? SURFER Dude and the 'Theory of Everything' My 'geometric' Buddha buddy is better than yours...

You realize you can make the relations in any large algebraic group look like whatever picture you want, right? Elvis perhaps.
