Conservatism

Unread postby PenultimateManStanding » Mon 19 Nov 2007, 16:23:06

The Howard Beale of the radio (I'm mad as hell and I'm not going to take this anymore) says it's "borders, language and culture." Translation: keep the spics out. Yeah maybe we ought to keep this a white country. But is that conservatism? Back when I was a kid, conservatism meant being opposed to Bolsheviks. But Stalin wiped out the Bolsheviks. He put a bullet in all their heads. This world is a crazy place and nothing makes sense. And personally, most of the Mexicans I've met I've liked. One even went out of his way to help me go south of the border for cataract surgery. The surgeons there did a stellar job. Savage is phony, no more conservative than Allen Ginsberg.

The language and culture here (TX) are very Mexican and have been for hundreds of years. *shrug* It must freak people out who come here and see billboards, etc. in Spanish.

Pity poor Mexico. When their oil revenue dries up, they're going to be in a world of hurt. But as the Latin saying goes Caveat Misericordium
