BTW - I use gmail as a location to store some critical information (of the non-secret variety) should disaster strike my records. One could even scan some documents into PDF files, send them to oneself, and have a source of emergency records.

It would always be a good conversation issue in the future. If you run out of email addresses I can always give it over to someone else more deserving. Also this would be a good backup account if my regular account went down but peakoil.com was still up. People I contact then might get a clue why my first account went down!

About logging in to the account. If I go to gmail.com and use my username "andrew" and the password, doesn't it think I'm trying to get to a @gmail.com account instead of a @peakoil.com account?
