Isn't it a morbid that somebody cold calmly shoot videos of someone killing themselves? I also saw a couple of scenes in which pedestrains walked by passively.

I don't know what anybody could do with certainty, even calling 911 would not provide an instant enough solution. But, I would have dropped the camcorder and did whatever I could do, short of being pulled over myself.

It's precisely because a successful rapid suicide deprives that economic system of it's opportunity for maximum capital extraction that such things are frowned upon (and in fact illegal).

On the other hand, it's perfectly fine (and legal) for you to commit suicide over a span of 30 or 40 years thru crappy diet, sedentary lifestyle, cigarette smoking and excessive alcohol consumption, precisely because such slow methods of self immolation actually increase the potential extractable capital compared to someone who lives a healthier lifestyle.

I just watched it. Very nicely done documentary. Certainly puts you in a reflective mood.

Strange juxtaposition. People giving up their painful lives in such a fresh, glorious setting. The Golden Gate Bridge, when it is shrouded in fog and cloud, has such a transcendent beauty.

The name itself, it's being a bridge, the finality of the act, the long fall, the cold oblivion awaiting...

No more than a week or two go by that someone doesn't throw herself off.
