I read in the Wall Street Journal the president of BP oil say that with all the exploration & new drilling that has been going on in the last 4 years 08 will see a decline in oil prices. Maybe we should trade our water for oil with the Saudies. You can't water crops with oil! billyk

Not expecting a decline in prices but CNR looks to be onto something good in the FSU.

Well you have to factor in demand growth, depletion of old fields and then the new production that comes online. Too many variables there to nail anything down for sure.. yes I know many here will act like experts and site this or that study or data but really nobody knows for sure. I personally think if we can hold oil prices in the 80-100 dollar a barrel range for awhile that would be the quite healthy when it comes to forcing conservation and alternative energy sources while not collapsing the world economy.

Oooooh, Powerpoint, must be really good! I have a really nice bridge you might be interested in buying. Special price for you since you are obviously such a perceptive and discriminating person.

$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('billyk', 'M')aybe we should trade our water for oil with the Saudies. You can't water crops with oil!

Better yet, they could build more desalination plants powered by gas turbines and send less oil and gas our way, shipping fertilizer instead so we can keep growing our crops. Which is precisely what they are doing. We won't have that much water anyway, unless we stop washing cars and watering lawns.
