Interesting article by "Devvy Kid" (who ever that is) in relation to HR1955:

$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('', '
')Last week while the horrific fires were burning up Southern California and every major news network, including cable were providing non-stop coverage, a very dangerous bill to liberty and freedom was passed by 404 members of the U.S. House of Representatives. Called the 'Violent Radicalization and Homegrown Terrorism Prevention Act of 2007',

Empty bellies make for angry mobs. How much do you have in your savings account to keep emptying the ocean with a teaspoon? Are you one of the above borrowing from your 401(k)? What will be left at "retirement" time to see to your needs in your golden years? Crude closed at $92/per barrel last Friday; when Bush took office it was $18/barrel. This winter, our fellow Americans in states like Pennsylvania, Ohio and the New England States will have to face staying warm vs eating and/or dropping their health care premiums because there's no money left in the till to pay another increase in heating fuel oil. While Marxists like Hillary Clinton and Nancy Pelosi eat off gold plated china, Bush will continue to blow $10 BILLION dollars a month on his insane wars and since there's no money in the treasury, that $10 BILLION will have to be borrowed and squeezed from we the people who have nothing left to give.

Excellent read. There's so many people who think military will never be used on american soil, these are usually the same ones on the 9/11 party line.

All's fair in peak oil and die-off. :-D

Hard times are definitely coming. This article reminds us that the good times will not last and that we will have to sober up to the harsh realities of life. Forces us to consider how we live our lives right now. I believe we should not only conserve energy and be kinder to the planet but that we should also avoid useless pursuits, get to know our neighbours, stick closer to our families, deal with one another with understanding and seek the Author of our life.

http://www.govtrack.us/congress/bill.xp ... ab=summary

"Prohibits the Department of Homeland Security's efforts to prevent ideologically-based violence and homegrown terrorism from violating the constitutional and civil rights, and civil liberties, of U.S. citizens and lawful permanent residents."

WTF? US citizens and lawful permanent residents are not the only people protected by the Constitution! :x
