FYI, my position on the WTC conspiracy remains unchanged!

I am actually quite surprised that Aaron would give me the title. I didn't expect it because he seems to disagree with me on most issues. I think that goes to show you that Aaron is a big person and that this expert thing is not a popularity contest because I have to be one of the least popular members!

Really, is there anyone less popular than me?

After all, he invented this web site and has been peak-oil aware for longer than most. He understands the need for leadership and authority in these difficult times and the responsibility we all have here to get the peak-oil message out in a concise and erudite fashion.

It is good to have authorities that newbies, pundits, and the confused riff-raff can look up to during the strenuous debates that so enliven this wonderful internet resources. It is always convenient and reassuring to have a leader to look up to and reference during a heated discussion on dieoff, acid rain, zombies, and MRE's

We need people who have media skills and technical expertise with the energy systems that are ruining our planet. Like you jbecton. What better than having someone who actually lives in the belly of the beast relate to us the wonders of modern technology. After all, these are the magic bullets that will slay those evil doomers.

Anyhow, the board will return to normal ( 8O ) in no time. Nothing lasts. Not even this.
