Err...i would not support marksizm, I would rather support die off.
We have plenty of evidence that marksism is generating oppressive genocidal regimes instead of claimed social justice.
It does not work and it cannot work.
Human factors I suppose.

Again, it is better to die a bit earlier as free than to die a bit later as enslaved.
Quantity cannot replace quality.

$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('americandream', 'm')inus the personal diatribes.

You implied you control no means of production, which seems a strange way to live to me. That's not a "diatribe" nor is it especially personal.

di·a·tribe (d-trb)
n.
A bitter, abusive denunciation.

I advocate individuals working together to change. I've given specific references which give specific directions on how to organise and effect this change.

Restating:

Why we need to change: "Ishmael" and "The Story of B" by Daniel Quinn

Ways to do it: "Beyond Civilization" by Daniel Quinn and "Permaculture: a designer's manual" by Bill Mollison

I find it easier to read three books rather than your massive list.

Anyways, carry on! :)

Ludi,
I would certainly prefer your permaculture over marksism, but I think we are not heading to any of those.
We are in fact heading to die off.
Permaculture or marksism are only theoretical possibilities but there is no hope at all to implement any of those timely on any meaningful scale.
Permacultural farms are going to be looted and any marksist government is going to be a farce collapsing into feudal slavery where leader of the people is equivalent of the king and his guard dogs are equivalent of barons.

So lets forget about some fantasy and accept that we are heading for a die off.
Third world first (I suppose...) and we will follow soon.

Nature rules, man loses. :)

One could legislate in favor of permaculture solutions in times of crisis. Ultimately what will happen depends on how much the mass of people wants to survive, and how genocidal they are willing to become towards the third world.

If they want to survive with a semblance of a conscience, then a form of legislated permaculture seems to be the only option.
