Denial is not only the longest river in the world it's the most wide spread.

Why oh why does the MSM constantly look for alternative reasons for the rising price of oil? They default to blaming political or terrorist actions (militant uprisings) for the tight supply conditions. No mention of geological limits or aknowledging that we just can not suck the black stuff up economically anymore (let alone with an EROEI greater than 1:1).

When will 'the Shrub' just confess that all the democracy bull sh*t is just a fake cover for getting access to oil?

Full and blatant revealing of the truth is overdue.. Sure panic and chaos may be the result of such revelations but it would be better to take some lumps now then later when the people of the most developed nations are in a state of desperation and there is no way (no energy) to manage the situation.

Just a little rant that I had to get off my chest after reading various articles from the lastest on The Oil Drum

I 'm not convinced there would be panic and chaos if it were announced we have probably passed the peak in oil production. Nobody panics as many authorities announce we're experiencing global warming. I just don't think folks are that panic and riot prone in most parts of the world.

I can see it everywhere.
My college teachers keep talking and teaching as if today's economy and growth will go on for hundreds of years
Maybe they have no idea about peak oil, global warming, and so on.
There are also people that heard about peak oil but quickly solved it passing the problem to "they", "the ones that solve problems"
