I think this should be a sticky personally. Video is a good way to get a lot of educational bang for your buck (money being time in this case ).

Sometimes I'll play stuff in the background while I do other things.

Every two to three weeks there are twenty new permaculture videos on youtube.

Whether "TSHTF" next Tuesday, next October, next decade, next century or never, eventually you're gonna die, so educate & enjoy yourself.

I read "Life After Life" by Raymond Moody a few years back. Whether you believe in his theories or not, I found it interesting that the top priorities of those who came back (were resurrected) were learning & love. Those seem like sensible choices no matter what the circumstance.

I think it's a good idea, but you may want to think about moving the topic to the Planning forum. I think it would be better received there, as that's where most of the constructive stuff is happening.

Maybe it's best that those that are truly stuck just try to enjoy life where they are appreciating good movies, fine art, good booze, fantasizing about female members on peakoil.com, and playing word games as much as possible.
