$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('Carlhole', '')$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('pstarr', '')$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('Carlhole', 'B')elieve he's mistaken. The fish slapping occurred in movie "The Corn Dog Man".
"Trip K marine" I don't recollect any fish slappin' scenes in that movie, though Bougherville, South Carolina is indeed a fishing town and Ace Barker is one helluva bass man. lol
Sure. Don't you remember? The Corn Dog Man ties a large fish to a rope and rigs it in the apartment so that when Ace crashes through the door, the fish swings down from the ceiling and smacks him in his good ol' boy face! 'lol'
Look, I'm not saying that there haven't been plenty of other face fish slaps in movie history, but the one I am talking was definitely in Every Which Way But Loose.
It's a minor plot line, but two cops that Clint Eastwood beat up earlier in the movie are hunting for him along with the motorcycle gang while he is looking for Sondra Locke. The cops catch up with him at a lake where he is fishing in waist deep water. The cop approaches him from behind and tells him to freeze and drop his rod and reel, right when a big fish hits the line. They both begin to work the fish until they get it out of the water. The cop comments on what a stud the fish is when Clint Eastwood hits him in the face with it and runs the cop's pickup truck into the water and he and Orville make their getaway.
I'm not commenting on whether this is the best fish face slap in movie history, it just happens to be the first one I thought of when I thought about PO slapping a person in the face.

My OP from Sept 1, 2007 (the day Craig announced his "intent" to resign):
$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('wisconsin_cur', 'I') observe with bemused interest the discussions regarding the Stock Market crash predicted for this month.
I listen with interest about the conspiracy theories concerning the coming "incident" that will change the world as we know it (precipitating the stock market crash).
Then as I'm rolling oats this afternoon I have CNN on in the background and listen to Sen Craig's announcement that it is his "intent" to resign by Sept 30th. The way he emphasizes "intent" strikes me as him being very intentional in the use of that word. It is a weasel word. It is my intent to loose 20 pounds, mow the lawn this weekend and listen the next time my wife tells me about the personal lives of her co-workers. "Intent" often means that I am being forced to say that i will do this but I know fully well that I will not.
For the record, I continue to give my rational mind the benefit of the doubt. An attack will happen, the stock market will crash but I do not think that there is a conspiracy and I do not think we will know the date before hand. But...
today I wonder and wait. Is something coming down the pike that will cause us to forget about Craig and not notice if his intent does not become reality?
I was wrong to be paranoid about foreknowledge of a stock market crash. I was right to think that he was weaseling for time and hoped that the moment would pass and he could keep his position of power.
Craig won't quit senate
