THANKS SMUDGER, I have been thinking about economic collapse and peak oil, bird flue, and others, for a year now,,, and I belive that something COULD.,,,,.,. happen , so I am preparing in the best way for my level of income could prepare. And I have read tons tons tons tons, on all issues, political finacial and otherwise. And all i am looking for at this point is other peoples opinions on a timeline. I believe we are on a plateau and think the real drops will begin 2008-2012. A wide window but never underestimate human efforts to keep things going if at all possible.

We'll have to wait and see. While it is true that production has had an all time high sometime in 2005, if you look back at past history, there are many periods of overall production dropping a bit for a while just before it increases quite a lot.

I am 90% certain that we are at an overall peak right now -- it will be 100% if production doesn't increase significantly in the next 3 years or so.
