Starlets propensity for bad driving

Unread postby Denny » Fri 21 Sep 2007, 23:44:29

Its been amazing in the last four months to see so many of entertainment's young women charged with serious driving offenses. Most recentlky, Britney Speers, charged with hit and run and no license in hedr possession.

You gotta wonder, do they see their adulthood wrapped up somehow in being behind the wheel of a car? Obviously, for them, calling a cab is no big deal, just a bit of pocket change. You'd think their agents wouldl dole out taxi chits to all their young talent, it would be to their own advantage, to their pocketbook.

Bujt, for most young adults, at least outside NYC it seems, driving a car, even with all the economic and time consumsing hassles, is still preferred over other alternatives for getting around.

Hey, if I could afford a Maybach, you'd better believe I'd eschew all other forms of getting around.

Oh the stories I could tell. My new gig post Countrywide is a telematics(think onstar) firm for the upper crust. That includes Mercedes, BMW, Mayback and Rolls Royce. Currently I get to chat the BMW crowd. Most of them are very interesting and friendly people. I do get the occasional call that is loaded with drama. That' s all I'll say, drama.
If you give a man a fish you will have kept him from hunger for a day. If you teach a man to fish he will sit in a boat and drink beer all day.

Most of California, Los Angeles in particular, was developed and built after the invention of the automobile. If you don't have a car in California, you're basically screwed. As a result, most people in California practically live in their cars. In Los Angeles, the average driver wastes 72 hours per year in traffic.

As far as New York City is concerned, don't ask me why anyone needs an automobile here. I personally don't own a car. I can take a taxi and be anywhere in the city within 5 or 10 minutes. If I need to go to Long Island or New Jersey I take the train. However for celebrities in New York City the black Cadillac Escalade seems to be required equipment and is seen as being a status symbol for celebrities here.
