Oil stocks declined more than expected!! Prices rise to historic levels! (but they are still at the top end of historical ranges) I get so sick of this. Gimme Doom or give me Nothing! Quit teasing me with inconsequential nonsense. I'm trying to stay on top of all this, to stay informed and all I get is that Albania has an energy shortage. My youngest went to Costa Rica with the Girl Scouts. I asked her, "do they have power outages? she said, "they sure do." But that's because their hydroelectric is off due to drought. I need to know when to spend all I've got on food and extra gasoline in storage. I hear that stuff has a limited shelf life.

Pen I feel your lack of doom pain.

We have got a global economic crisis, we have got oil at all time highs, the dollar at all time lows, bring on the friggin doom.

Where are my damn zombies?

Seriously, we are close and it could happen at any moment then again I am getting the feeling that these assholes might be able to keep it together for a few years longer, and that pisses me off. We are not wrong about PO but our timing friggin stinks.

yeah, that's what I keep reading the news for, but all I get is this lousy T-shirt that sez, "Worst housing market in 11 years!" I got another one in the closet that sez, "Gold hasn't been this high since last year!

Of course. I wade through theoildrum every day. I get some really valuable info there. But I get tired of all the useless info. I have to glean through it to find something useful. But thanks for saying 'yeah, I know'. Sounds like you do know what I mean.

$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('PenultimateManStanding', 'S')ounds like you do know what I mean.

Well, now that you mention it, a lot of that sort of hyperbole is thrown around, and yes, it could get annoying after a while.

Our hyperbole is not wrong we are just calling the game too early.

And that fact has mad me more angry than I have been in the last two months. There is a real chance here that I may even grow to become as angry as I was three years ago. That was when I ordered a double scoop ice cream from Baskin and Robins and the top scoop fell into my lap as I was getting into my car.

What we're all impatient for is to finally have the chance to say, "See, I told you so!" :P

I'm not really anxious for the other shoe to drop. In fact, I hope it never does. Remember what this thread is about: people saying we're doomed because this is the worst housing market since the recession of '92!!! They may not say it in so many words but it's there by implication. That seems to be the obsession at LATOC and I see a lot of that at theoildrum too.

My petty gripe is posters who can not formulate a thread title that means anything! So many of the threads on here have to be retitled by the Moderators because when it says
something I gotta get off my chest
anyone getting nervous?
was hoping for insights and answers

You have to open each of those threads to see what they are talking about! Is it really that hard to put a TOPIC in the thread name? Oh and yes those are all real thread titles people had originally put up.

Shew I feel better now :)

.
There is a deep attraction to the "Cassandra complex"
She was a royal princess of Troy a god was in love with her ,
he gave her the power of true prophecy , since she still refused him
he cursed her that no one would ever believe her
She told everybody that getting this big horse inside Troy walls was a terrible idea

I suppose there is some great satisfaction at being proven right eventually

might as well do it right , from the Man ,

You could start a "Posters who can not formulate a thread title that means anything!" thread.

Or a "Posters who can not formulate a thread title that means anything and they don't even spellcheck the title before posting!" thread.

And then you could merge those offending threads into that thread.
Facebook knows you're a dog.

LOL while it is personally tempting to do something like that there are usually good posts in these threads and putting them where someone can find them on topic and read them is much more effective in preserving knowledge. If I am not smart enough to figure out the topic from reading the first post or three I just leave the thread alone for someone else smarter than I to figure out.
