uhhh... cows don't have feet... they have hooves. Its supposed to be hoof and mouth disease... cows with feet... what's this world coming to?

If you don't have one, a medical book for treating diseases would probably be a good addition for your library.

U.S. unprepared to handle disease outbreak
WASHINGTON - An incident in which a tuberculosis-infected man walked past U.S. border controls in May shows how poorly the country is defended against importing infectious diseases, according to a report released on Monday.
The report from the House of Representatives Committee on Homeland Security is one of three published on Monday that fault U.S. government preparations against pandemics and other potential disasters.
A second report, from the General Accountability Office, shows various U.S. agencies have still not fully worked out who would make decisions in case of a pandemic, while a study from the National Association of County and City Health Officials shows federal funding for disasters has shrunk.

SAN JUAN, Puerto Rico - Health officials in Puerto Rico warned Tuesday of a potential epidemic of dengue fever in the U.S. territory, with seven suspected deaths from the disease this year.
More than 3,200 suspected dengue cases have been reported across the Caribbean island since January, more than double the number for the same period last year, according to government epidemiologist Enid Garcia Rivera.
"We are in what could be a dengue epidemic," she said. …
