Same as it ever was, I suppose you are just more awakened now then before.

Lose your politics completely and free your mind as there are no sides, there never was a fucking choice, lie's all lie's...

All the way to the top there are those who still have this blind faith in politics.

I am only glad I was able to cast off this old skin and arrive in my new one.

It is like a religion for them, the last bastion of hope before they actually have to do something. They pray and beg their political messiahs to do something so they will not have to.

Imagine

and I hope today you will join us and we can fight this lie as one.

Sorry , I lost myself in TOOL videos for awhile . Lateralus , are you sure you weren't expecting to see Repubs crouching behind all the drapes and so as soon as you saw one you imagined they were everywhere ? Maybe some kind of psychosomatic , self-fulfilling prophesy ?Holmes peeks his head in every now and then but usually gets it promptly cut off . Spe-cop hardly ever turns up . Offshore/oilismaster are hardcore but cartoonish and of no consequence . 2nd tier repubs like eastbay ,plantaingenetic ,airplanedriver , etc. have conservative leanings for sure BUT they will listen to others without falling back on Limbaugh talking points every time they're challenged so I respect their right to exist here. Besides , don't you find educating the great unwashed invigorating ?For what you'll find in the other forums I don't know , I seldom venture into those waters and for all I know monsters may lurk there.
Perhaps the population would be less swayed to socialism if we had fewer examples of socialism from our "Free Market Capitalists". -----fiddler dave

Glad I'm not the only one who has noticed this...though the Repugs seem to be less plentiful than the blatant trolls (you know, the ones who post about how batteries will save the world, etc).

$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('Blacksmith', 'Y')ou snooze, you loose.

"LOSE", with one fricking "oh"!!!!

God Almighty, it's an epidemic! Nobody knows how to spell this simple little nothing word!

"Loose", as in "loose lips sink ships", or "any which way but loose".

"Lose", as in "lose your home when your ARM resets"!

Jesus!

This retort could have been anticipated and frankly I am surprised it did not come much sooner. Such discipline is uncommon among your organic raised bed garden variety agents thus this is no normal agent!!!

(patiently awaits lateralus' next move - shares his special popcorn with the crowd)

At least they have the capacity for independent thought. Unlike the Republiparrots... :P

(Not saying they necessarily exercise that capacity, mind you. Just that the potential exists...)

If that's your preference PA, there are numerous sub-forums dedicated specifically to those topics. This is the Open Discussion sub-forum. From the main Index page:

$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('', 'T')he Open Forum is for ANY topic and not necessarily about peakoil related issues.

Of course.

Well, OK...

I couldn't agree more. I have been a registered republican since 1988. In fact from 1988 to 2004 I voted straight ticket.

Then I pulled my head out my ass in 2006. I started paying attention to the local politics as well as the national politics.

I'm still a social conservative and I'll be the first to say there are many social conservatives pissed off with the spending and other follies of this administration. I am pissed my Neocon governor wanted to give vodoo vacinations to my daughters, and so are lots of Southern Baptists. My blood boils as I watch our conservative republican governor takes away farms and ranches to build the Trans-Texas corridor. I am sure he will land a nice consulting job when he goes away in 3 years as his thirty pieces of silver. I get angry as I watched State HWY 121 turn into a toll road as soon every major highway in Texas will be soon.

Yet I still support republicans like Ron Paul with my checkbook.

NEOPO is right, we got bigger fish to fry.

We've got the same kind of crap going on here in Alaska. Our prior Republican governor sold out the state to the oil companies, who it turns out were also bribing the state legislators.

You vote out the corrupt politicians and then you find out the new ones you just elected on promises of "reform" are also corrupt.

Spin? Spin???

As if the DNC needed to spin anything these days! Dems can just sit back and watch the fun! The GOP is hell-bent on self-imolation, apparently. It's turned into a frickin' suicide cult.

Rudy Giuliani for President? What is this, some kind of TV sitcom script?

Why?

He's a part of the game too...

He speaks of a dead rotting corpse of yesteryear.

Him saying he will rescend the FRA of 1913...bring our troops home...balance the budget..etc etc...is like saying humans can save the planet.

Rubbish...complete and utter rubbish.

IMO Paul is another illusion of "choice".

I've been through a similar process. I've even read blogs of folks from the old "other side" who can't abide by their former political leanings either. There's big changes in the air.
