$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('jboogy', 'A') really good film is like a well-worn pair of cotton briefs to me , it gets more silky-smooth and easier to wear the more times you put it on . I'm working on being able to quote the terminator in it's entirety , jaws I pretty much know by heart "your going to ignore this particular problem until it swims up and bites you on the ass!" yummy , " that mr. Hooper is the U.S.S. indianapolis ", these movies are like a perfect chateaubriand , you slowly savor each and every bite and the week after you want the taste again.So what if you know how it ends , if you own a Rembrandt do you look at it only once? No , you look at it every day to hopefully detect a slight nuance of color or shading that you hadn't seen yet , or you look at it just because you enjoy looking at it , do you make love to a beautiful woman just once ? You explore each and every curve and crevice of her each time ,as if it were the first . Sure it won't match the first time , but you'll enjoy it just the same.
brilliant. That's my test of a really good movie: if you can watch it multiple times and still enjoy it. Terminator and Titanic both pass that test for me. and by the way how's this: "you're going to need a bigger boat!"

I have just seen "Three Days of the Condor"
The movie was made in 1975. If this stuff was in a movie at that time, I am sure it also was thought about by those in power, and the wars that are going on now are less of a surprise

- Today it's oil right ? In ten or fifteen years : food, plutonium, and maybe even sooner. Now what do you think the people are going to want us to do then ?
- Ask them ?
- Not now, then. Ask them when they are running out. Ask them when there is no heat in their homes, and they're cold. Ask them when their engines stop. Ask them when people who have never known hunger start going hungry. You want to know something ? They won't want us to ask them, they'll just want us to get it for them

One day there will be so many houses, that people will be bored and will go live in tents. "Why are you living in tents ? Are there not enough homes ?" "Yes there are, but we play this Economy game". Now it's "Crisis" time !Too many houses! Yes, we are insane!

$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('paimei01', 'T')hey won't want us to ask them, they'll just want us to get it from them
Was that a Freudian slip? I think you meant "for them." But yeah, people were worried about that then. This time it's going to be worse, a lot worse.

$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('Opies', '[')u]Waking Life

Very strange animation style; philosophical type movie. Lots of pseudophilosophy and lots of bullshit but overall very interesting and unique.

Very ecclectic film. Good Rotoscoping precursor of A Scanner Darkly. Another great film with a health dose of doom
If you give a man a fish you will have kept him from hunger for a day. If you teach a man to fish he will sit in a boat and drink beer all day.
