$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('roccman', '')$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('', 'P')fft! I don't have to produce or justify anything to anyone.

As site admin for sustainablearizona.org, I most certainly do not have to justify my actions on that website to anyone.

Quoting someone completely out of context to flame them is not the purpose of this thread.

$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('MonteQuest', 'T')o what end do we delay the inevitable?

So we can powerdown and depopulate later?

The longer we remain in overshoot, the greater the die-off...

$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('Alfred Tennyson', 'W')e are not now that strength which in old days
Moved earth and heaven, that which we are, we are;
One equal temper of heroic hearts,
Made weak by time and fate, but strong in will
To strive, to seek, to find, and not to yield.

$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('Heineken', 'O')nly an unfeeling society could build the sort of world we now have, which stomps on individuals and nature in the name of greater power and profits.

$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('Falconoffury', ' ')The USA looks to be a lot more likely to use nuclear weapons much sooner than Iran. I'm more afraid of my home country than Iran. The USA wants to take away my privacy, my wealth (through inflation and debt), my freedom of speech, among other things. I see the USA as a bigger threat to me than Iran. The USA is robbing its people blind of everything that it used to hold dear, meanwhile brainwashing its people into believing a non-threat.

$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('Plantagenet', 'W')e had the warmest, nicest summer I've ever seen here in Alaska. The fall is starting out nice too....the nights are below freezing, but it got up to 55° degrees yesterday while I moose hunting. This global warming thing seems OK so far. 8)

$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('OilIsMastery', '')$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('Aaron', '')$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('OilIsMastery', 'I') guess your definition of a troll baiter is anyone who presents scientific facts that go against Communist religion.

It's obvious to anyone with more than 2 braincells who the real trolls are in this thread.

I realize this isn't a member quote, but I find it pretty relevant to the idea of Peak Oil in general. I'm not sure how old it is, but I know I heard of it long before I heard about Peak Oil. Perhaps expanding the idea of quotes to include this like this could be considered.

"Only after the last tree has been cut down,
Only after the last river has been poisoned,
Only after the last fish has been caught,
Only then will you find that Money cannot be Eaten."

Err, hate to break it to the audience but that's what most Pagan people over IQ 60 would normally call a 'curse'. Not something to be re-printed all over the place, that's for certain.

Just thought I'd point that out...

$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('julianj', 'F')or fairly obvious reasons, I didn't tell him about Peak Oil. You can imagine the conversations: "I hope we can hurry up with this project, before the US Economy collapses. By the way, don't get too fond of your dogs, you might have to eat them someday soon."

Somebody stop me. It's like eating potato chips.

$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('wisconsin_cur', 'I') have the feeling you get when a roller coaster comes of the crest of its upward slope and you are anticipating the downward plunge except I don't have a seatbelt, the metal restraints have been removed, there are 6 billion people in the cars behind me and the carnies running the machine are passing around crack pipes and bottles of gin.

$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('threadbear', ' ')Posting on this forum is a trip into a broader understanding for most of us, but for the narcissist it is an ongoing baptism in a swirling eddy of information that is shrunken down to small and distinct puddle, easily understood, and one they can gaze in to worship themselves.
