I am looking to buy some Canadian companies that are not listed on the US exchanges. For a US citizen, which brokerage do you recommend for trading the Canadian stocks? Thanks for the help.

Any US broker should allow you to trade Toronto listed stocks. Fidelity, Schwab, and E*Tard.

TD Waterhouse, CIBC World Markets, and RBC are all Canadian.
