New Web Site Focuses On Solar Information

$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('', 'A') new Web site for homeowners interested in the financial and environmental benefits of solar power is now online. FreeCleanSolar.com (www.freecleansolar.com) offers homeowners information about how residential solar power works, the costs and savings relating to these systems, and the federal tax incentives and state rebates for solar and other renewable energy sources.

In addition, the Web site will provide directory listings of licensed solar power contractors and lenders across the United States.

www.freecleansolar.com looks a little "scammy" to me. You have to give them lots of personal info before they give you any real info, it seems. No links to sites with real unbiased info such as Home Power magazine, makes me a bit hesitant to consider using the site.

This is Rich, one of the founder's at freecleansolar.com. Our site just launched and it is legitimate.

The site is free to use. We do require basic contact information from homeowners who want to be connected with lenders and installers. We provide a secure form and treat all personal information with respect and care. We are consumers too, so we treat others as we expect to be treated.

As I indicated, the site just launched and we intend to add more information, tools and content. If I could just get the other founder, my brother Dave, to work harder, then we'd have more stuff ready by now!

Yeah!

FREE SOLAR!

This is simply the greatest discovery in modern times rivaling the invention of time-share condos, or even dare I say it...

Well, you may be right, Aaron. You have at least given them a chance at promoting a "legitimate" cause by not deleting this thread. It appears to be a commercial site so they will have to do some fast talking to convince us that we will get free information about the benefits and suppliers of solar power as their web site title suggests. Isn't it just a little too expensive at the moment? How do the costs compare with other forms of microgeneration?
