Go right ahead big guy, buy all you want.

While you're at it why don't you float a couple of loans to some mortgage lenders, they sure could use one right now. Remember if you timed it right you could have gotten in on the ground floor of Tower 2 cheap.

Seriously, that is a pathetic statement unless you really are loading up on equities.

You keep saying that. Buy what? Moronic mortgage companies with catchy jingles? Houses for rental property (I think they'll decline a lot more)?

I'm not saying we're there, but what would you have bought in the growing despair in mid September 1929?

Add to that list Monte the Yen Carry Trade slipping into a forced unwinding.

Yen 116.12 it was over 117 earlier today and 118 the day before, very not good. Below 116 we get forced margin calls and one hell of a crash. Here is a nice link that esplains it all.

edit 116.01

Now is when we get to see blood in the streets.

I saw that article. I remember when thay had their great reorginization email about becoming "leaner and meaner" last year and the stock rose from $35 to $42 a share. First our healthcare got cut in 2007 then the jobs moved to India. Now its $19.25. Party's over.

Countrywide has almost 8000 plus jobs in DFW. More layoffs are sure to come.

It's going to be a much harder pill for some to swallow than it was for me.

Yikes!!!

No I am talking about the Yen Carry trade coming apart now up to the 115.60 level in the last few minutes.

It is the hedge of all hedges, trillions in dollars and other currencies must be sold to get back into the Yen.

Panic is coming tomorrow what we have seen has been kid's stuff

Nikkei down 590 tonight.

Swiss franc was also used for carry trade, yet the dollar is gaining substantially against it at the same time it is losing against the yen. I did not expect this and am not sure why it is happening.

USD is gaining lots of ground on all currencies except yen.

Futures are down 200 on the dow!

For a down day like to day 10 or 7 means the markets are probably going lower.

The market is a pretty good prognosticator of the overall economy. If the market keeps heading south, the economy will likely start to deteriorate and unemployment to rise in 6-12 months. 8)
