Wish I could buy a farm, but the city is where I am stuck and trying to make the best of it.

Rural Lee county GA.,about 25 minutes from albany GA., surrounded by woods,fields,cattle and horse farms. House 7/10's of a mile off the road and invisible from the road. [smilie=5camouflage.gif]
Perhaps the population would be less swayed to socialism if we had fewer examples of socialism from our "Free Market Capitalists". -----fiddler dave

I live in a town that is niether a suburb nor rural. The population is about 25,000 and I live three blocks from the town square. We are, however, adjacent to the DFW Metroplex. I wouldn't call this town "urban". I chose "exurb".

I'm 7 miles from downtown (Santa Cruz) in Felton (population is a couple thousand I think) so I voted rural.

What's the dividing line between suburb and exurb, exactly?

And don't you think that 5 miles from downtown would be suburbia?

5 miles outside of some cities puts you in farm country.

I selected exurb, but I have no idea what it means. I'm on the very outer limit of a moderate density suburban area.
