So you bought your hideaway in the hills and that's where it starts.

This 'getting to know your neighbours' philosophy really hit home after watching this. Turorists blew them up. I like how he only turns the genny on for the hot bath chick soapy mmmm..... 6/10 worth a watch for the advanced planners :)

Huh?
$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('Alfred Tennyson', 'W')e are not now that strength which in old days
Moved earth and heaven, that which we are, we are;
One equal temper of heroic hearts,
Made weak by time and fate, but strong in will
To strive, to seek, to find, and not to yield.

I THINK I understand...

I assume that Nine/tenths is a horror movie.

$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('', '
')So you bought your hideaway in the hills and that's where it starts.

The movie begins with the protagonist moving into his bugout cabin in the woods.

$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('', 'T')his 'getting to know your neighbours' philosophy really hit home after watching this.

The moral taught to us by this movie is that it pays to get to know your neighbors.

$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('', 'T')urorists blew them up.

Either terrorists or tourists set off explosives which blow up the neighbors.

$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('', ' ')I like how he only turns the genny on for the hot bath chick soapy

Da23's favorite part of the movie is where the Doomer protagonist is so cheap that he doesn't switch on the genny{i.e, generator} except to heat water for the lovely actresses' soapy bath scene.

$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('', 'm')mmm.....

Da23 REALLY liked the bath scene.

$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('', '6')/10 worth a watch for the advanced planners

Da23 gives it 6 out of 10 stars and recommends it for those doomers who are planning for a Mad Max world.

Turtle,you should look into working as a professional translator,when my boy was very young he would make sounds trying to communicate but no-one could understand him except his year and a half older sister,he would go "bliff-blah gorple shnin" and I would look at the daughter for the translation. She always knew what he was trying to say.

Sorry small dancing cat, I just figured I wasn't the first here to see it is all, I love doomer pr0n :roll:

Linky

Thx for the translation Turtle but it's not a horror movie, it's basically about rich yuppies who buy a bugout place in the middle of nowhere and find a mexican guy has took residence once TSHTF.

It's a call to us all to brush up on basic skills :wink:

Do you think the cabin in the woods is actually now that much in Americans minds that they recognize it as a plot piece? That is encouraging, but the fact that all they can do is laugh at it is not. I wonder if the sacred role of the story as teacher will convey anything to the public in this work?

It sounds as if the public might be ready!
When it comes down to it, the people will always shout, "Free Barabbas." They love Barabbas. He's one of them. He has the same dreams. He does what they wish they could do. That other guy is more removed, more inscrutable. He makes them think. "Crucify him."
