This guy went undercover as a representative of the fictitious "Maldon Group" to see what major DC lobbying group APCO Associates could do to brighten up the tarnished image of Turkmenistan, which would need a lot of buffing. Hard to put this across in quoted excerpts, read away - pretty amazing, and as the author said in an interview, nothing compared to what, say, "Big Oil" can do.

The sad fact is lobbyists in every capital city everywhere are the same, they know how to gain access to the powers that be and what it takes to influence them. Pollitics is a dirty bussiness being a half step up from war, the dirtiest bussiness.
