U S A...frica

Hi,
apparently the Africans are debating the formation of a pan African state.

Are they capable of pulling this off?

Will the US and EU let them do it?

What would this mean for world trade?

What would this mean for world oil production and the peak?

I can envision this as hitting roadblocks, as Egypt and other North African states identify with Islamic states in the middle east. Pan-Arabism anyone? To see Libya encouraging this was somewhat surprising, so I could be in error.

However, even 2/3 of Africa uniting would be a extremely significant, though there are dictators who wish to share power....

I think it's a great idea! And I think to really get off the ground, they need the wealth and expertise of America's African population. So we should encourage our wonderful African diversity to go and make Africa work! Mother Africa needs them . . . ALL. And they can take all the whites who intermarried with them too.
There's still freud in Schadenfreud!

$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('ferrelgiraffe', 'W')hat do you mean are they capable?
Nothing will stop it.

go to www.youtube.com and
video.google.com

and search for NWO, one world, amero

african union etc.

By capable I mean would they be able to pull it off? There are big differences between the Islamic North and Christian/Secular South for a start.
Their first big problem will be the expected famine in Zimbabwe but with the increasing desertification of the continent will they be able to cope with one enviromental crisis or war after another?
Will they be able to get organised enough to move on as a single entity into a post peak future?
Although they will probably be the first to be affected by rising oil prices many African states are not as reliant on oil for their infrastructure and agriculture so would they ride the peak easier than the US or EU?
