This will be such a relief!! Getting rid of car etc.

What's on your mind?
General interest discussions, not necessarily related to depletion.

ST Bike Shop? I think I found it, $300-odd for a new decent bike is quite fair.

Honestly I don't know how much bike riding I'll need to do, if I'm on a super-short budget it does edge out the bus/train for cost. But say I'm going to Palo Alto to play music or draw folks on the street, on University, do I want to bike that far or do I just want to hop on the 22 bus?

A bike is something a person's just gotta have, though. The people I'm moving in with are bike-friendly in fact the son something of a mtb expert.

Yeah they used to be called ST Bikes, but their big store sign says "Trek Bike Store" now.

yeah ST stood for the street they were on, TREK BIKES on the sign probably makes the most sense....

I gotta see about getting my July apartment rent paid first, I'm just not paying anything else. Wait, no, that's not right, I spent some bucks today on a harmonica

But a bike is a very very good thing to have - so good for exploring a neighborhood, getting around without having to fork over money, etc.
