Is that a spoof? Its credibility is hard to judge when it's on a blog and not a newswire.

All related to the same issue...strike of Iraqis in protest of oil law.

My research has shown that at least 2 (1 day strikes) have previously occured.

Not sure why one would think this is a spoof if not on MSM??

$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('roccman', 'N')ot sure why one would think this is a spoof if not on MSM??

I found it funny and potentially satirical. I could imagine myself or someone else writing something like that if in a pissy mood.

If things keep going the way they are, I could see the Iraqis striking just like MEND does in Nigeria...

They've been doing that since the invasion. It's actually where the Nigerians got the idea.

Peak Pork

Unread postby mlit » Fri 08 Jun 2007, 10:58:22

$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('', 'C')hinese officials offer several reasons for the high pig prices. The cost of animal feed has risen by one-quarter in the last year, partly because more corn is being made into ethanol and partly because more prosperous workers are eating more meat, which requires more animal feed.

$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('', 'â')€śPeople tend to underestimate the deflationary impact over the last 10 years” from Chinese exports, said Michael R. P. Smith, the chief executive of HSBC’s Asian operations. “It has got to the limit: you’ve had wage inflation, you’ve got rising natural resource prices. There’s just no more give.”

What the heck, I am alergic to the porkers anyhow. Has anyone done a study on using the leftover mash from Ethanol plants as fish food for those farm raised catfish/tilapia/salmon? Now that sounds like a tasty alternative, and the protien and natural oils are much better for you.

Explains why they are using cardboard instead of pork for filling buns. Yup this is chinese food made out of cardboard. I would be pretty tipped off to find out that my food is made out of cardboard. Well at least you get you serving of fiber.

Best news in a long time. :-D
I want to put out the fires of Hell, and burn down the rewards of Paradise. They block the way to God. I do not want to worship from fear of punishment or for the promise of reward, but simply for the love of God. - Rabia

Muslims have a religous taboo against eating pork, but there is no rule against eating cardboard.

I don't have any hard stats but I know in the American Sothwest, we have an explosive problem with feral pigs. Often a farmer/rancher trap them, pumped with antibiotics, then taken to market.

Think about that while bite down on that Jimmie Dean breakfast sandwich.
If you give a man a fish you will have kept him from hunger for a day. If you teach a man to fish he will sit in a boat and drink beer all day.
