Yes, everyone have a good laugh. Still, glad I'm not buying into the obscure farm or eco-village dream. Not everyone trying that is going to be an idiot. Enough will be competent.

I'm sure he didn't bother the farmers who had these.

The countryside's a big place. Those with big scary competent guard dogs will be less bothered than those without.

And yes, I've got a Maremmano (and am getting a second). They are easily the best livestock/farm guard dogs as they don't wander off.

Oh, and I live in Northern Italy and have never heard of this bloke. There are lots of Albanians etc going round the isolated villas and breaking in with violence. They never seem to target properties with dogs though.

Exactly - I have a rott, pit, and GS - They only bark when something is different.

Great dogs!!!
