Daily energy report

Unread postby 27010 » Tue 05 Jun 2007, 19:27:50

Was just reading the Daily Energy report for 5th June by Phil Flynn.

It was quite a good article from the author justifying his belief that peak oil is not a real issue and that the market would ultimately solve the problem and he was doing a good job of backing up his belief.

Well, it was quite a good job, until the last sentence, I quote

" probably have oil forever or at least have the technology to get oil from another planet."

I say no more!

On the basis of that line alone, I can expect this guy probably buys into a lot of perpetual motion device start-ups too.

Well I can't say I like Flynn's snide comments about PO, or his uncanny ability to occasionally say things that are almost exactly the same as some of my posts.

However he appears very knowledgeable about the oil industry, so I suspect he is just putting forth the party line on PO. If not, then most of the trading community is truly clueless and we could look forward to even more volitility in oil prices as PO arrives.
It's already over, now it's just a matter of adjusting.

" probably have oil forever or at least have the technology to get oil from another planet."

I just read that article too. I do enjoy listening to Flynn's analysis on CNBC and elsewhere, but with remarks like that it's interesting that we're the ones called 'fringe' and he's called 'expert'.

$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('', '"') probably have oil forever or at least have the technology to get oil from another planet."

So I assume he believes there has been life on mars and that it resembled the lifeforms and enviromental cycles of earth then or does he subsribe the the abiotic theory???
Any link to his page and any discussion forum on his page/site where we can bash this clown???

Phil is a totally conventional right wing industry analysis. He's good for the technical opinions and worthless for the rest. We shouldnt expect more from him.
