Doing so is obnoxious and rude.

Just a few questions:

1. what makes somebody an activist?

2. what does oversight and acountability in government mean?

3. when does public not mean public?

But entirely acceptable if you REALLY WANT TO GET A POINT ACROSS BY MAKING IT SEEM LIKE YOU ARE YELLING. Which is the original intention for all-caps in net-speak...

Interesting questions, EJ. Forty years later, though, our society is even more oppressed and dumbed down.

Apologies if anyone's seen this before, but relevant IMO.

The tension is definately building , lots of demonstrations lately but I'd be surprised if you'd know it by watching MSM. I don't really know if they covered the marches or not ,been busy.Imagine the level of dissodance if there was a draft. This shit would have exploded by now. Everybody's getting fed up with the bullshit.I like to tell myself I'd be out there if I didn't have two young children to worry about. But then again I cherish my free time.

Add to the mix globalization and the desire to see open boarders between the US and Mexico.

We have US federal prosecutors under the pressure of the Mexican government imprisoning our own local law enforcement officers.
These men and women are enforcing the laws and being thrown in jail for doing so.

No EJ I am not going to talk you down but I will say that the night is always the darkest before the dawn.

Department of Homeland Security wants master key for DNS

Unread postby mmasters » Sun 15 Apr 2007, 21:22:39

$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('', 'T')HE US Department of Homeland Security is insisting that Verisign hand over the master keys of the Internet. If it succeeds, the US will be able to track DNS Security Extensions (DNSSec) all the way back to the servers that represent the name system's root zone on the Internet.

Effectively it would mean that US spooks could snoop on anyone in the Worldwide wibble and place control of the Interweb tubes firmly in the paws of the US government.

The information that Homeland security is after the "key-signing key", currently held by Verisign, was revealed to the the meeting of the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN) in Lisbon.

Homeland Security uses 0.01% of resources to stop Terrorism

Unread postby mmasters » Fri 01 Jun 2007, 20:11:48

Terrorism not focus of Homeland Security

WASHINGTON (CNN) -- Claims of terrorism represented less than 0.01 percent of charges filed in recent years in immigration courts by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, according to a report issued Sunday by an independent research group.

This comes despite the fact the Bush administration has repeatedly asserted that fighting terrorism is the central mission of DHS.

The Transactional Records Action Clearinghouse said it analyzed millions of previously undisclosed records obtained from the immigration courts under the Freedom of Information Act.

Of the 814,073 people charged by DHS in immigration courts during the past three years, 12 faced charges of terrorism, TRAC said.

Those 12 cases represent 0.0015 percent of the total number of cases filed.

"The DHS claims it is focused on terrorism. Well that's just not true," said David Burnham, a TRAC spokesman. "Either there's no terrorism, or they're terrible at catching them. Either way it's bad for all of us."

The TRAC analysis also found that DHS filed a minuscule number of what are called "national security" charges against people in the immigration courts. The report stated that 114, or 0.014 percent of the total of roughly 800,000 individuals charged were charged with national security violations.

I wish they had used some resources to stop Mr TB Lawyer from globetrotting and exposing literally hundreds of people.

.... and how many of those 12 were actually convicted of anything. Most 'terror' related cases brought forth by the US government collapse into nothing.

What a monstrous waste of tax money.

DHS Plans to Cull Population

Unread postby roccman » Tue 06 May 2008, 02:10:10

"If a mass casualty critical care event were to occur tomorrow, many people with clinical conditions that are survivable under usual health care system conditions may have to forgo life-sustaining interventions owing to deficiencies in supply or staffing," the report states.

Who you ask...??

$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('', '_')People older than 85.

_Those with severe trauma, which could include critical injuries from car crashes and shootings.

_Severely burned patients older than 60.

_Those with severe mental impairment, which could include advanced Alzheimer's disease.

_Those with a severe chronic disease, such as advanced heart failure, lung disease or poorly controlled diabetes.

if you are gay, white, left, fat, christian, snore, or just plain smell.
