Yeah - he's in on a cut from the sale of the film.

And he needs lunch money to get him through the crash

What the genius forgot from "law school" is the mo' exposure the mo' sales.

Coca Cola gives boat loads of free stuff away...I got a free pack of camels in the mailbox a month ago (don't smoke, but I'll sell a fag for $20.00 after the crash)...shit the realtwhore on the video I posted today is giving away a free S 550 'cedes.

Alex Jones gives stuff away for free.

And this documentary on oil is light years better than Crude Awakening...

Simply - he is desperate.

I am disappointed in those profiteering on the end of civilization. After I asked you the question I went and checked out the trailer for the movie myself, and there he was!!

Better than chasing ambulances I guess. Or worse yet, running for office and pretending to want to help people while taking as much oil and utility money as you can stuff in your bank account.

Parasites one and all.

$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('roccman', 'M')att Savinar is a liar.

He said I posted Crude Awakening here. I didn't.

I do think it should be free, but the wad banned me at LATOC for "encouraging" crude awakening to be free.

For a guy who proclaims the end is nigh...it mystifies me why he gets on a plane June 6th to south america to BEGIN to look for an off grid place. Seems like he was a little distracted to be further along with his preps.

Shill.

I would have it done it 3 years ago but I was fresh out of school with less than $500 in the bank. The trip (and Roccman does not know where I'm going) just to scout the place I'm going to is going to cost me $2,500.

$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('Madpaddy', 'G')ideon,

I have lost friends and reputation by trying to preach the message

.

If only it were just a matter of out surviving dinosaurs. It's hard when you lose family, though.

I have warned one of my sibs (not hounded) about the economy, energy supply problems, for a couple of years. She and her husband still took on $200,000 more mortgage debt a few months ago.

She thinks I'm a "downer". I also talk too much about the neo-cons "and stuff", so that relationship is never going to be what it was and may be pretty much over.

Part of the reason people are over spending is because they work for corporations where management and workers alike are encouraged to "think positive" and not listen to people who try to "interfere with their dreams." It's a social disease, not just related purely to the economy...it extends to issues that influence world view and how honestly and openly we can relate to one another, without worrying about being slotted into one of two possible categories--Negative thinker, or positive thinker. Sick really.

Why not just buy a van or bus and load it down with doomer gear? Travel the U.S. and scout locations. Plenty of remote and less-remote places to explore and hone one's survival skills. Mobility and flexibility could be the name of the game. You could map out several camps and at each have supply caches.

I wouldn't head South of the Border yet (or ever.) You might pull a Mike Ruppert and realize something along the lines of, "These [non-White] people are scary!"

59 TRILLION!!!!

http://www.usatoday.com/news/washington ... htm?csp=34

"Bottom line: Taxpayers are now on the hook for a record $59.1 trillion in liabilities, a 2.3% increase from 2006. That amount is equal to $516,348 for every U.S. household. By comparison, U.S. households owe an average of $112,043 for mortgages, car loans, credit cards and all other debt combined."

There is no such thing as debt free in America...

He mentioned on his web site hanging out in the sun for the summer.

So tell me, do you think he is researching excellent beach locations for his hideaway from the upcoming nuclear exchange, or just taking a tax deductible vacation ( ala Ruppert ) using the hard earned money he collects from gullible people who don't stop to ask why they are buying a solar oven off someone who thinks they are going to be vaporized soon?

Its not like peak oil is bad enough, now we have to watch out for peak oil profiteers.

$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('ferrelgiraffe', 'T')here will come a time when she goes OH WOW YOU WERE RIGHT!

I doubt many people are going to be thanked for being right. Being wrong can be the hardest thing to accept. Being burdened with a failing business, dead career or a quarter million £€$ in debt in a global depression is not going to make it any easier. If people remember, they are going to assume some sort of perverse triumphalism on your part. Especially if they can see you sidestepped the biggest traps and are doing better. If they bring up the subject, it might be to ask "Now what?!" Who knows if there will be an answer.

You worried yet Roc? Got the most current MRE's? Target practicing small varmints in the neighborhood, just a little, as a substitute for zombie targets?

Half the people around here nowadays look like they are beginning to think Peak oil won't be but a fart in a windstorm...silly to think they miss the point, isn't it?

Naw...lady luck has always been on my side.

Tell ya what...the more I look into people's eyes in the food store ...at a stop light...park ...wherever...it's there...that look that something dark...big ...and unforgiving looms.

Remember as a kid...that shadow in the corner of the room at 2 in the morning...that fear that paralyzed you?

Oh yeah...the horsemen have arrived.

The human project is over.

Its always fun to watch wall street rise while the analysts say that there is nothing but good times ahead the bad news is just little ignorable problems. Pay no attention to the boogie man behind that curtain.

Guess it really does not matter if a homedebtor can make the payment without a job...

The subprime mortgage business is in tatters: loan volume is plummeting, defaults are rising and some of the biggest lenders have cut back or shut down.

So what is the smart money — private equity, hedge funds and investment banks — doing? They are swooping in and taking over those battered businesses, seeing opportunity amid the wreckage.

“There is a lot of money pent up,” said Steve Probst, national sales manager with Fairway Independent Mortgage, a lender based in Sun Prairie, Wis. “And a lot of people are betting that the market will snap back quickly.”

It is a risky proposition.

U.S Stocks Rise as Hiring Tops Forcast; Dell, Dow Jones Gain

"Dell jumped 81 cents, or 3 percent, to $27.72, its highest level since April ...... Dell also will cut about 8,800 jobs."

Hiring tops forcast??? But...Dell cuts 8,800 jobs???

Records are broken in the S&P!!!

``The combination is great for stocks.''

Is it 5:00 yet? I need a martini.

the job cuts while more jobs are created thing is easy to explain.

The CES Net/Birth/Death Model is basically some more jobs jammed into the numbers to help balance out some shortcoming to the models. This month that arbitrary padding added 203,000 new jobs
http://www.bls.gov/web/cesbd.htm

and taken right from that page

$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('', ' ') The most significant potential drawback to this or any model-based approach is that time series modeling assumes a predictable continuation of historical patterns and relationships and therefore is likely to have some difficulty producing reliable estimates at economic turning points or during periods when there are sudden changes in trend. BLS will continue researching alternative model-based techniques for the net birth/death component; it is likely to remain as the most problematic part of the estimation process.

Think we might be at a turning point?

So without this tweaking of the numbers the US actually lost about 40,000 jobs last month. Sound more reasonable?
