Too Much Heavy Crude

Unread postby evilgenius » Wed 28 Mar 2007, 07:00:43

Are the excuses about high gas prices really a cover for the fact there is too much heavy crude coming into the US infrastructure for it to handle? At the peak heavy crude should be more plentiful. Is the level of heavy crude coming in commensurate with the peak?
When it comes down to it, the people will always shout, "Free Barabbas." They love Barabbas. He's one of them. He has the same dreams. He does what they wish they could do. That other guy is more removed, more inscrutable. He makes them think. "Crucify him."

Well this article says that:

Refinery runs have been curbed by snags on top of regular retooling works, leading to a heavy crude build as a result, despite disruptions in African supplies.

But supposing the heavy crude is causing these extra snags because the refineries can't handle it?
