A poem I sent the NYT as an op-ed
Anthem
Oh’ say can you see
By the undying night
Which so blindly we hail
While the treachery goes flying
Whose blood stripes and black stars
Through the execrable fight
The rampant we watch
As their eyes wildly are gleaming
And the rockets explode
Foreign nations implode
The truth out of sight
The flag seals the night
O says our star spangled banner of fate
For the land of the free
And the home of the daze
